the woofer is gt5-1204br

bargain it around 5 , though they may say a price of 7.

there is one pre out that is enough for now ,
get a 2 channel from sony or jbl , approx 4 to 5K
this one a 5K
rest some for wiring and fixing.

Enjoy

THEN WHAT DO YOU HAVE WITH YOUR s644 NOW?[confused]
You can have a look here.

Pio 5050 HU
Illusion EL 6.1 front compos powered by 2 channels of amp
Vtrek rear compos running off the HU
Ground Zero 30T subwoofer powered by bridged 2 channles of amp (JBL GT5-S644)
Scosche RCA & Earthquake 6 Guage wiring

Since you cannot change your HU, i would say the difference in voice quality would be just marginal, rest is your choice.

A ported box will be loud but will go "boom booooom" while a sealed box will be not that loud but will give a tight kick which is ideal for SQ.

oops, sorry. i dint mention that i had purchased two amps together & so he gave me a discount. even then, the actual mrp he said with B/W was Rs. 6300/-

Also, in mumbai, you do get the S644 for Rs. 5800-6000 with B/W even without any discount.

So how is the set up !
it must be fine with tight bass!

Wana even more tight bass!
A small DIY.

Make a wooden square box with length of 7cms
Open up the sub woofer , do not disturb the wire,
put the square box in it and fix with some glue(fevicol or araldilite)
Refix them

Ok let me make a point clear , head unit plays a major role.
with your head unit you cant expect show off kinda.

I said square box of 7 cm, so depth and width is 7 cm i suppose.

Keep the equalizer in head unit as flat
I mean you say gain by cross over. keep the gain in minimum position.

Try to increase step by step , my advice do not go beyond 25% to 30% of gain.
keep the switch in lpf .

Then in the eualizer , change the output , keeping just few pts in bass must help further. too much will spoil.
Very much important
FOR TESTING PLAY A GOOD REAL BASS MUSIC.

EG IN TAMIL OLD ILLAYARAJA MUSIC LIKE MEGAM KOTTATUM HAS PURE BASS. REASON THE BASS IS TRUE BASS BY DRUMS. nOT KEY BOARD BASS OF TODAYS MUSIC.
hope this must help your set up.

For show off , you must need a a good head unit , may be from jvc as it has low price with good output , a powerfull mono amp , a ported sub woofer box.And very much important is good wiring ,

could be detail in what you have now with pictures .?
