Hope i am not so late

There are 2 types , one to be heard outside too ,
one to be heard inside alone. sql and spl respectively.

Each one is to be designed in separate ways

And there is nothing called original grey.

Original is white piece , with mrp tags and importer's tag , sahil international in jbl

Other is grey , which is without the tag.

Both are produced same ways , a white has manufacturer warrenty and grey may have seller warrenty

For a budget of 10K , the specification is very limited kinda

Go for a 2 channel amp from jbl
And boxed subwoofer from jbl
JBL GT5-1204BR

forget its mrp , bargain around 5.

Do not use 4 channel for a sub woofer.
use a mono ELSE 2 channel

Using mono will not be in your budget. Also you do not have powerful head unit.

Use good wiring kit , also from jbl , as i think this ine exceeds your budget slightly , other cables will increase so much!

Hope i have given you a good idea for a 10 K budget set up!

hi all i am looking for amp and woofer for my swift Dzire so need your advice asap because i want to buy them today.my music system is sony cdx-gt370s (i think it as 1 preout, not sure) with jbl ovel speaker(dont remember the model no.)with front 5" ultimate speaker.[frustration]
Coming to your question, there are lot of ICE specialists with us. Just to name one of the senior person, it is Raj. I am sure, you will get your reply soon!
where are the gurus? i am still waiting for them.:help:
hi aditya. first & foremost, i am no guru. i am not too much into technical stuff & i am no installer.

Since you are sure you dont want to change the HU, the max you can do in your 10k budget is -

1) buy a 4 ch amp - JBL GT5-S644 - Rs. 5500/-
2) buy a JBL sub - Rs. 4500/-

are you looking for SPL (for show off) or SQ (sound quality)? if its the former, you can buy a basstube. it will be loud & very boomy but will compromise on sound quality. i would say avoid the basstube & get the sub mounted in a nice sealed enclosure.

the enclosure will cost you less than Rs. 1000 & good wiring will cost you Rs. 2000.

regarding the amp, bridge 2 channels for the sub & the remaining two channels for the front speakers, which you may upgrade in the future.

JBL 4 channel amp costs around 8k i guess. It will exceed your budget!
My 800W JBL GT5-S644 4 channel amp costs Rs. 5500/-

Our member Raj said he was using tube and he was not satisfied with it , better go for a box.
a basstube seems good at first since its very loud but frankly it spoils the music quality tremendously.

So u mean to there are no fake jbl amp at all, some installers told me many shopkeepers sell fake jbl without bill.

Original is white piece , with mrp tags and importer's tag , sahil international in jbl
thanks i heard about sahil international.

i know lack of m power[frustration]

5 without bill or with bill?what about 2 channel amp?

Do not use 4 channel for a sub woofer.
Use a mono else 2 channel
i want to use 4 channel amp for my sub+oval jbl which are not getting enough power from my sony hu.

Using mono will not be in your budget. Also you do not have powerful head unit.
Even i dont want to go for mono amp.

Hope i have given you a good idea for a 10 k budget set up!
still i have some doubts like my hu have just 1 pair of preout so what is the best way of adding a 4 channel amp using a y jack for all 4 channel or 2 channel from rca and 2 channel from speaker lavel input.which one make sense and in hu i have to switch preout to rear or sub?in both option.

My reply in caps.

BUT STILL YOUR ADVICE IS VALUEABLE.

WHICH JBL SUB? S644-5500 WITH B/W OR WITHOUT B/W

I WANT TO GIVE 2 CHANNELS TO SU+2CHANNELS TO MY OVAL JBL BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT GETING ENOUGH POWER FROM SONY HU.BUT STILL CONFUSED ABOUT PREOUT AND SPEAKER LAVEL INPUT.

THEN WHAT DO YOU HAVE WITH YOUR s644 NOW?[confused]

Raj has a groundzero sub now.

Frankly I have heard both in his Scorpio. The basstube as well as the sub. I swear, I have heard nothing like the sub he has!

Now, the JBL setup is probably the best you can get in your budget. But remember decisions taken in haste usually go wrong. Think and then spend.

But again, I highly recommend you to change your headunit! At the earliest! Don't commit the same mistake cooldhaya did. I think even he'll agree that experience is the best teacher!

Exactly Arun![thumbsup] Even i did the same mistake of using subs without changing the HU and the output was just poor quality with very less thump effect!

I have learnt from my experience and don want Adithya here to make the same mistake!

Adithya please change the HU first.:please:

Prefer Pioneer HU next time and with your 10k budget now you will get a good HU from Pioneer with 3 RCA pre-outs.

Exactly!!

@Aditya:
Imo, go for the HU upgrade first. Others can follow. But first of all, find a good installer. [:)]

No i didnt say there is no fake , there is but they are less , not like as pioneer.

Using the 4 channel for rear oval and sub is not advisable.
Later on its your wish.

I have fixed a car with your head unit , his thing was he was very lucky with the head unit , coz he got a big thing the evening after he bought the head unit. so his need of greater punch was to be satisfied, what we did?

Connect two 2 channel in series. the effect was superb.

And the boxed sub from jbl around 5 is with bill and warrenty!

Your HU will not do wonders in your current setup . but will do great when you upgrade your setup at later stages!

I prefer the first option of changing the HU always as a four channel amp and a single RCA out-put HU is not a good combination.

Oh if thats the case then i would recommend not doing any of these in your current car. Carry out all these directly in your new car itself.
