ABS and CBS Mandatory For Two-Wheelers From Apr'18

Good News !!!

Government is making it compulsory for all the two wheelers to have ABS + CBS from April 2018 :

Its a great step.
I hope existing vehicles will be allowed to continue being used.
Safety features must be insisted on in our country where people have very good traffic sense.

Existing 2 wheelers will not be affected by the rule.

Two-wheelers with displacement of 125cc and above should be equipped with ABS while models below 125cc should have CBS installed within the stipulated timeframe.

Our manufacturers would go leap ahead and start new generation of bikes of 124 CC technically.
But it should be appreciated that government has started taking good steps in safety perspective
