The road leading to this hill is really superb.
And not to forget a good cardio work out.

Shivagange is also known as Kaashi of the South.
‘Patalagange’, Olakala teertha, Nandi and Veerabhadreshwara temple are various temple in Shivagange.

‘Olakala Teertha’ has its own significance, there is a small hole inside here and when someone puts their hand inside and if that person finds water then he/she has done good deeds and is a good person and vice versa.

nice pic . could you share more detail about this e-filling station
Hello MS: E-filling station is nothing but the filling of fuel is maintained by COCO of HP(Company Owned Outlet).
In whichever nozzle they fill with you can get the bill for the exact amount you have filled along with quantity filled.
Like this there is little trick they can do.
Whichever nozzle they fill, you will get the e-receipt.
And there is no trick of short filling as computer checks the filled quantity automatically and gives a receipt rather than manual bill.

Nice pictures Mukesh , that Olakala teertha is nice! Hope you found water inside the hole![evil]
Ha ha yes dhaya i got the water in my hand, though i had to dip my hand till the shoulders.

And the place inside has less oxygen and slippery and literally one has to bend and go.

Really a nice place to explore, and steps are uneven/ no steps.

In some places on rocks just they have carved the steps & may slip without railings.

So at one point we all left slippers and went up bare foot.

Concluding pics....

Will be nice if we find one. I have not yet come across any in Delhi.

Mukesh, Thanks for the updates. Your travelogues are not only a breeze to read but also informative too. Keep up the great work.

Hi guys again i had been to the same place.

I have 2 incidents to share:

Incident 1:
I really felt sad, on the way to Tumkur near the JAS toll booth, the lane discipline was not at all there.
And i had to let it go off to allow other vehicles to join before me, in the end i had made the right choice.
The matador tempo, skipped without paying the toll, to whom i had left place before me.
And you know guys, the toll collector swerved the toll stopper, backwards saving it , instead of loss if the matador had hit it, for a meagre 15 rs toll , he would have incurred loss of thousand's of rupees.
What if he was behind me he would have hit me to save the toll.

We clicked his pic, he was running for his life.

So these are sad experiences, no lane discipline in toll booth.

Incident 2:
And another incident in the bunk, as usual i get down and told him to fill for 1200 Rs as the tank was 1/4 th full.
What i did was paid him 1200 Rs, and he went to enter billing details, with nozzle in the tank, comes and asks sir money.
I didn't tell him anything, just bring the complaint book, he was like sorry sir, i was reading my diary and you have given the money.
Later the manager apologized.

Chap who was leaving in his own dreams

So lesson learnt is "never pay the money untill they fill it".
Btw this HP bunk was a COCO bunk, with automatic fuel dispenser mode.
I checked his authenticity to give him bill from other machine, apart from where he had filled, it gave the correct amount of fuel filled & bill.

All in all the trip was splendid.

The feedback of Kamat Upachar at this stretch is Ok.

Only we loved Idli and Vada dip in Sambhar was great, Dosa's wer not that great.[thumbsdown]

A bit of slush & mud, enjoyed this part of driving more than plain nice roads
