Rahul da, Could you please inform the route you have taken for Vizag to Hyderabad? Appreciate if you can share it thru Gmap
Sukanta Bhai, I almost followed Google map blindly. Upon exit from Vizag, once I was sure that it was indeed the highway to Vijaywada, I turned off the map to save my mobile's battery charge. It was only used again when approaching Rajahmundri and Vijaywada, to find out the exact route through these two large towns. Also used the phone to reach my hotel at Abids in Hyderabad..At Rajahmundri I crossed Godavari through this bridge on this picture.

I am not sure which bridge I took but on the west bank of the river there was a large idol of Hanumanjee. The members of this forum who use this route regularly may tell you more.

Hope I could help.
Regards,
Rahul

I also follow the Google map in my mobile in any trip. But here I am confused to cross Rajahmundry and Vijayawada by which route? The bridge you had crossed in Rajahmundry, named as Dowleswaram Barrage. I find it from Google. For Vijayawada did you pass through the bypass road or IRR?

My plan is to take below route Google Maps

No idea. My daughter was the navigator there, as she had the phone in her hand. She gave me directions which I almost followed blindly. But crossing Vijaywada was moderately easy, as possibly the city did not have dense traffic that time.

First of all sorry to hijack Rahul sir thread.

Please check below link to bypass Vijaywada
1) Bypass Vijaywada from North side to West side (NH16 to NH65)

2) Bypass Vijaywada from West Side to North Side (Nh65 to Nh16)

Rajahmundry bypass

1) From Vizag to Vijaywada side

2) From Vijaywada to Vizag

Hello,
I was watching few pictures from my trip to Hyderabad, so thought that I might share few pictures with the esteemed members of this forum. I shall be glad if the members like them.
These photos were taken at the Chowmahalla Palace.
Pictures from the outside of these vast palace. There are actually four palaces in one complex, hence it is named Chowmahalla. Knowledgable members or other members from Hyderabad may please correct me if I am wrong.

The following pictures were taken at the "Old Palace", or the Purani Haveli. Many everyday objects used by the royal family, made of precious metals were displayed there.
Cups, plates, dishes, etc, all made of pure gold.

This tiffin box in the center was worth more than 5 KG of gold and allegedly was even stolen once. Fortunately it was recovered soon.[:D]

Lastly, this is a picture of the world's largest wardrobe, housed in this building. It is even complete with a hand powered lift (elevator) and I request you read more about this here.

A wonderful photologue! It makes one proud that we have such priceless treasures in our own backyard so to speak! And your night photographs (on the road) too are splendid.
Thank you for the visual treat!
