Summer Vacations: Goa - Mahabaleshwar - Pune - Goa

so this will be my first travelogue to be written so please excuse for mistakes and errors

So the plan was to go for summer vacations with my cousins in the end of may and the place needed to be enjoyable and should be have cool climate , and being to mahabaleshwar 2 time before it was the only place we could decide .

The plan was to leave on 28th may and come back to goa on 2nd june.
on 27th night plans change to visit pune . so now the leave goa at 10:00 am reach kolhapur via anmod ghat via belgaum at 2.30 for lunch be mahabaleshwer by 8.30 9.00 pm. stay at mahabaleshwar on 28 and 29th night leave mahabaleshwar at 10.00 at go to pune , so 30th 31st 1st night at pune and on 2nd leave pune and be back to Goa
hotels were per booked so we were not in hurry.

Total journey 1500 km approx
car taken fiat grande punto multijet emotion ( the car was purchased from used market a week before and took it for journey without showing it to mechanic, had trust with fiats multijet engine )

Total 4 people
Leave goa : 28th may
Back to goa : 2nd june
Total fuel cost: Rs 4500
Average mileage: 16.7 / average speed 60 - 80
Average mileage on highway: 18- 19 / 120-130 constant speed. Average speed 100 110
so now lets the pictures do the talking

just another break from non stop driving from previous break at anmod ghat.









continuing the journey the plan was to have lunch stop at MacDonald
reaching mac'D at 2.30

time to say good bye to mac'D and continue our journey to mahabaleshwer .

and we stop for sunset at one of the plateau ( road is very not of tar and made of mud chances are of car scrapping











and we stop at velocity park on way to mahabaleshwer did atv ride rs 300 for 6 laps
velocity park has go karting , bumer cars , tower and many more for kids to play around also refreshments are available







our stay at varsha regency



and next day to visit elephants heat echo point kates point ( this all points are at one spot )
that's the dam,
you can get horse( notice the horse name they r funny) ride and camel ride too
the roads r very narrow and not of tar car scrapped the engine guard many times

18~19 is very decent average considering you were doing likes of 120~130.
How was the composure and braking of car at such speeds?

Nice to see fiat is a brand that still makes some driver's cars.

Breaking was brilliant even thoug the suspension has given up 80% .
The trick was to make 120 and then tap the accelerator pedal lightly .
Yes fiat make best cars . they don't compromise on safety suspension and handling

I did check Booking.com, but I want to take your advice.

sir baga is best place to be in goa its very cheerful and is active during night
rio resort is one of the best in baga .
acron waterfront is also good but my choice is rio resort goa

if you're in mahabaleshwer dont forget to eat fresh cream strawberry ice cream. bagicha corner has one of the best fresh cream ice cream .







nest day monday time to leave mahabaleshwer , and go pune
but on way time for breakfast at Mapro garden and some shopping at the same.

do via online they are very cheap a nd no need to hurry for search of hotel

It is 2009 model got it for very less rate had done around 106000km on our

No couldn't visit the polo ground

Traffic in mahabaleshwer was heavy and roads are not proper to some point this ended in scrapping my engine guard
I am planning to fit aventura suspension kit will it fit ?

For Punto, there is a separate GC Kit available at FASS , which increases GC by 20mm so you get 185 mm GC finally. Cost is 11 to 14 K INR.
Most of the pre 2012 punto owners have opted for it and are happy.

'Avventura suspension kit ' doesn't exist.
