At lunch time, we were searching for a place to get vegetarian food.
Even though we located one Indian Restaurant, decided to search for something different.
Found this small eatery which served falafels.
Opted for falafels served in a pita bread (cut and shaped in to a packet) with unlimited salad. At only 6 Euros, it was a nice treat.
Falafels are deep fried balls made from ground fava beans and chickpeas (similar to our Dal Vada)
They put 6 falafels in a pita bread packet and handed over for us to fill it from the salad bar. Salad filling - raw, pickled and sauted vegies and various sauces - is unlimited and can be re filled multiple times. One sauce was Tahini - a paste made of sesame (Til) paste and spices.
Falafel is a middle eastern food and this small restaurant attracted a lot of customers.
During lunch we assumed that the restaurant is operated by people from middle east. Lunch was so good and we ended up in having supper also there. After a quick chat with them found out to our surprise that they are from Gujarat.
