There are a few trips which can be easily forgotten one day or another but some of them always stay in your heart for ever. This is just how my recent four day trip to Chandigarh was. The Chandigarh is a Union Territory of India as well as a capital of two states, namely Punjab and Haryana. This was my first visit to a place in Punjab and before, I always thought that it's just another crowded Indian city but after the comeback, things have totally changed to an extent and I’m amazed to see that a proper and peaceful city in India still exist, that’s too close Delhi! There is no doubt that Chandigarh has one of the best roads in India, Moreover the less pollution with greenery all around and driving etiquettes makes it a perfect place to stay. In this thread, I won’t write much but let the pictures speak and tell you everything because as they say - A Picture is worth thousand words. Now, Let this exciting journey begin.

Less Pollution,
Clean Roads, Greenery All Around and Perfect Driving Etiquettes. Welcome to Chandigarh!

As per Siddhant's suggestion, I went to Sector - 17 Market and would call it to be a Chandigarh version of Delhi's Connaught Place.

But Unfortunately didn't spotted any exotics parked out there!

Chandigarh is the place which resulted in quick sales of Jazz on its initial period! There are loads of Honda Jazz, Polo, Punto and Lineas running here.

Ovenfresh. Their cakes are HOT and delicious, Like Sid said.

Located on Ambala - Shimla Road and designed by Nawab Fidal Khan. The Pinjore garden has seven steps and is totally made in a unique way.

By air it is just 1 Hour journey but if you go by railways, It'll take around 4 Hours.

You have covered Chandigarh well. Some nice pictures.

Chandigarh is few of Indian cities which are well planned. After seeing these pictures, I am remembering my home town, Bokaro, which is equally green and well planned.

Thank you. One thing which I didn’t liked much about Chandigarh is that during night after 10 PM all the roads go empty and at some places there are not even street lamps where as in Delhi, The actual day starts after 10 PM! Also, something unique which I noticed were Pink colored Auto-Rickshaws!!

Yes Mukesh, That place looks similar to Pinjore Garden. I guess there are many more such places / garden across India. In fact the front view of Taj Mahal also looks alike. No? And I don’t have picture of Pink Autos but found a small image from Google.
