A short summary of our trip.
Reached Theppakadu for lunch. Rested for some time and hit the roads by 3:00pm. Our first target was Moyar. As we were entering the forest on Moyar road, I saw a small narrow road on the right. I just turned into that road on impulse and and kept going. This road joins the river that flows by the side of the Moyar road. From there you can see an old unused watch tower by the river about a kilometer away. We stopped on the road and saw some birds and clicked away. We then turned back and continues on to Moyar. We saw a herd of elephants moving parallel to the road on the right. There were a lot of those jeep safari guys that day - being a Saturday. One of the elephants crossed the road behind us. We could not get any clear photo of the herd and the crossing due to the movement of the safari jeeps. We also saw quite a few Bisons. Could get only shaky pictures.
After finishing Mayar, we continued up to Singara. The route was scenic and we could spot 3 Sambar deer. We then returned back to Theppakadu. On the way back we saw one more bison and some Peacocks.
On reaching Theppakadu, we took the road to Gudalur. But since the road was in a very bad state we turned back and reached our stay. Random pictures... not in order or by date... [to be cont.]
