Hi Guys,

I'm back with my recent TL which I done this month. basically It was a unplanned sudden trip.

I took 3 days(18th-20th) off from office, due to arrival of my Sister and her son to my home. But, they cancelled there visit due to some personal reason. But my leave got approved and had leaves for continuous 5 days(Including Sat and Sunday), So I don't want to waste the leave by sitting and watching TV at home and no mood to cancel the leave. So thought of going for the trip [;)]

Why Karanataka!!

Due to Sabarimala season, there will be heavy crowd everywhere in south Tamilnadu as well as in Kerala. So thought to go Hyderabad. But, heard that the transportation to Andhra got stopped from Tamilnadu on Tuesday due to some political situation at Chittor. So dropped Hyderabad from the list. So Karnataka was the only option.

For me, I never been beyond Banglore in Karnataka, So I was little bit nervous to proceed, even I don't know Kannada. so I was little bit scared. My dad visited Kollur Mookambika temple and Dharmastala some 15 years back, so he always telling to visit it again. But, I wished is to visit Murudeshwar(inspired by Mukesh, Rajvel and AR Ram sir's travelogue). So started a thread at Itnerary and got some ideas from our TAIndians.

http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/travel-itinerary/15761-urgent-vellore-murudeshwara.html

First I called to Rajvel as instructed by Guralla and we planned the route. But, during the trip, the original plan has changed.

My Special Thanks to Rajvel, Mukeshus and AR Ram sir for guiding me throughout the entrie trip [:)]

Road condition from Vellore to Banglore : Three lane wonderful road till banglore
Road condition from Banglore to Hassan : wonderful Four lane road,
From Hassan to Shimoga : Mostly two lane road. at some places it was single lane.

We reached Shimoga around 8:30. Before we reaching Shimoga, Had a word with Mukesh and he suggested some Hotel called Madura Palace for the stay. The hotel was decent with reasonable cost. It had good parking space next to Hotel with security.

Brought some Non-Veg dishes from outside and hit the bed.

The Bridge before the Falls:

We left Jog falls around 11:30am and headed towards Murudeshwar, in-between got a details from Mukesh saying that, there is a temple at idagunji which is just before Murudeshwar. So I fixed the destination to idagunji temple in my GPS Navigation.

The roads were really worst with lot of bricks. Once we reached the place, it was a Vishnu Temple. But, Mukesh said it is a Ganesh Temple, then only I realized that I went to wrong temple[lol].

Anyhow the temple was pleasant and good, even we had wonderful Dharshan there. Then we came out from that road, there I found a board to Ganesh temple. Then we proceeded to Ganesh temple, But it was closed. So, we our lunch at Temple Hall and left to Murudeshwar.

This was my first time to Murudeshwar, It was soo beautiful to see the Goupram and Shiva statue and the beach looks very calm. Not like TamilNadu beaches, the Humidity was very low and it was really a pleasant breeze. The motorsports at the beach gives re freshness and truly awesome[:)]

Re: A Trip to KA from Vellore in Vista VX,

After having a wonderful view of Sunset, we headed towards Kollur for the Night Halt(As Planned)

As ususal my Navigation shown the way to Kollur from Murudeshwar. We have to take left from Manglore Highway. once I took left, the whole road was deserted. Even the road condition also not good.

There was no oncoming vehicles also, so I decided not to stop anywhere. Maintained some 80Kmph on those roads. Vista took that road easy and made us to feel comfortable on those roads. While driving on that road, a Rabbit crossed from right to left. Then only I realized that I'm driving on forest area[shock], Thank God, we reached the Destination safe[:)]

Thank you Buddy,

As we went to Temple, we didn't had any coastal foods, we just had Tea and Bajji. But, I guess, there is no much coastal food stall near temple.

It's more of a photologue. Very nice to share those photos.
Thank you Amit :)
