stayed at KEYS hotel. small bed even for 2 people.
Food is expensive. Buffet might serve you better.
0730hrs Breakfast Buffet was a good spread.Vanilla milk shake was too good.
roasted baby potatoes were filling and tasty.
Egg counter was not opened until we left. Missed my eggs.

Good size room for the price.
Good food at the restaurant. Room service available.
Chilli Coriander Soup , Burnt Garlic Ch Fried Rice,
Chilli Chicken were good. Spicy food but felt
good for the chill.

Truck traffic on right most lane increased traffic
woes. Traffic was empty on the left most lane.
Stayed on it until some slow moving lorry driver crossed over
to the left lane to stop for a piss.

DISTANCE TRAVELLED FROM NAGERCOIL TO BANGALORE TO NAGERCOIL = 1646 KM (100KM difference)
Fuel Average of 17kmpl.
Speed range was between 80kmph and 120kmph.
Average speed was very low after Kolhapur due bad traffic and diversions.

TOTAL DISTANCE TRAVELLED ON THIS TRIP = 41518-38007 = 3511 KM

TOLL PAID TOTAL = Rs.792 + Rs.895 = Rs.1687.00 (x2 for up and down)

Unable to provide total Fuel used as lost a few pages...but what I gained
was experience and ease of using the NH4 & NH7.

Respect other rights also. You are not the only one on the road.

I love the route from krishnagiri to Kanyakumari, too good a road to drive.

It was a trip to enjoy Christmas with my parents so it was more family and almost as much leisure. My 9 yr old sons support made me more enthu about making this trip. He is a bigger car freak than me. He loves cars going by and indentifying them is pass time for him. I would never have planned it if not for him.

It was a beautiful trip. I never thought I could do it on my own. Didn't know what problems would crop up. But my Santro did what she is supposed to do and I am proud of her.

The road from Krisnagiri to start with is very picture perfect with the mountains looming around. Then comes the good road all the way to Kanyakumari. This section was far far better than the Pune to Bangalore stretch.

I have only the automotive enthusiasts to thank and with that I have planned my next trip to Kanyakumari this Christmas again. It will be more planned. More Pics. Maybe some video. A lot of details hopefully.

Have some new tyres planned for my Santro. I have already given her some nice Alloys.

Will post my trip immediately on arrival back.
