We had lunch at BR hills and started off our return to Bangalore.
As we came down the Hills and moved towards Yelandur, we came across some rice fields and found some Asian Openbill Stork and a Bronze winged Jacana. We also found some dragon flies on some nearby bushes. Asian Openbill Stork... Bronze winged Jacana...
Overall, we enjoyed the drive. Sighting of the Bison and Mongoose were the highlights of the forest drive.
On this drive we spotted quite a lot of new birds (new for us)...
- Crested Serpent Eagle,
- White-breasted Munia,
- White-cheeked Barbet,
- Lesser Hill Myna,
- Rufous Treepie,
- Common Tailor Bird,
- Yellow Wagtail,
- Oriental White Eye,
- Asian Paradise Flycatcher female,
- Bronze winged Jacana,
- Asian Openbill Stork,
- Painted Storks
BR hills was a nice place for bird watching. Though we were not able to photograph them in a professional way, we were happy to have spotted them.
We shall visit BR hills again... maybe next summer.
