@Singh890: Are you saying ABS
does not work if you are not going in high speeds? ABS
works if you are above 10KMPH(guess that number is almost accurate). Now why you think if you are going in 40KMPH and suddenly the Auto guy in front of you take a U turn, ABS
is not useful? trust me friend it is a must in India but not a must in a country like US where people include Indians follow rules and are disciplined! There are many times in lower speeds I have escaped only because of it. but if I was in a bike without ABS
I am sure I would have ended up with some bruises at least.
If some one would have said he/she did 150+ in a pulsar to me, I would have just smiled:) Won't even bother to think about it. Waste of my time I need a break from such people.
Did I mention CBR is the best? Guess I did not so no answer to that. But I will agree the looks of R15 V2 is something very nice.. even I love the looks. But say CBR can beat it in the power and pick up dept(My friends tried and I know what I am talking about). But R15 may beat a CBR when it comes to tight cornering for a simple reason R15 is a track tool with an under powered engine and CBR is not a Track tool. The real quarter litre Track tool is Ninja. And I hope no one will dare compare a R15 with a Ninja.
Did you say Pulsars and Apaches and R15s does "easily" 140+?? The word "easily" has a real importance. I would say R15 "may" reach 140 after a struggle, others It's very tough and "might" reach, and CBR does it "easily". The extra power makes that easily here.(From my exp. i'ts so stable and calm while doing speeds of 140+)
Now FE- Ride a pulsar 220 in 130KMPH and come back to me with the FE figure. you yourself will laugh or may be surprised to see the actual numbers. I know the Bajaj Claims but try it yourself. (JFYI - I saw some where Bajaj Claiming FE of 47KMPL for a Ninja while I was making the purchase decision, Ask the buds who own a Ninja 16-18KMPL it is)
Now About Paying the 1.2 Lak for 30 CC extra. Thats just a perception, please do not compare these bikes with a CBR(I am not the one who started the comparison here:)) it's a different DNA. You will understand after riding it. I respect the pulsars and Apaches they are also good but what I am trying to say is stop comparing these with Something who has a complete different characteristics. Ride it you will know it.
Now why people are selling: just personal choice may be not able to manage it, or need for more power more adrenaline rush or even some sad experience like bad ASS
(it's a rare case now a days, I can assure you). Some times the reasons what these people are saying(going abroad) might be true. Let's just respect that!
I agree when you say "Enthusiasm and Passion is within the driver" for a simple reason I am used to see many pulsar guys and Apache guys try to have a drag with me on the roads. I simply ignore them for their on safety, their enthusiasm should not end with Bed in hospitals(applies for me as well ). Indian roads are too dangerous(Except few high ways like Bangalore Pune(NH4))
Fun apart, I respect what you said "Enthusiasm and passion never come with high price. It's within the driver." It is true. It's just that with price you have more room for applying your enthusiasm for a better passionate feeling.
@ Signh890: Sorry missed to Thank you in the earlier Post. Thank you very much! Sure I will post few Pics soon. BTW
