The Yamaha R15 is a enthusiasts dream but some still crib at the lack of rear end drama (puny tires, no LEDs and the likes). But Yamaha seems to have taken note and is in the process of upgrading the R15 with slight aesthetic changes including split seats, LED tail lamps and bigger tires. Though there is no confirmation about the launch, expect the bike to be here soon.

Wow ! The only sad thing about this bike is the rear tyre. The LED lights & split seats are most welcomed.

But then what about the performance ? How will they be able to keep it the same even after altering the rear tyre size ?

Come on guys!

I will not agree with what you are talking about.

The tyres are may look skinny, may be not meaty & masculine!

But this bike is one of the best handlers & great power combined.

Many magazines has given an excellent rating for its handling :)

Its the best when it comes to handling, braking, etc. It has good power too.

But you have to accept that its a PAIN in bumper to bumper Traffic.

RTR Rules man..[clap]
The world thinks i chose my machine, But the truth is, The machine Chose me.
Changes in R15.
Aesthetics- This comes first to majority of Indians, Including Yamaha India Engineers!![frustration]
Front 100/90
Rear 130/90
Low rolling resistance radials.
Led Tails lamps. Present 1 looks like picked up from libero series.
REAL split seats. not aftermake pulsar200 types.
Forged Levers a must.

Performance-
Remapped ECU for better mid range performance.
Middle gears can be a bit shorter to facilitate better use of the high rev engine.
PLease give us higher cc injectors.
A free flow as in RTR.
And maybe, just maybe, plonk in a big bore kit!!
And people put in ur inputs.

IMO ECU remap is the need of the moment. And Yamaha should concentrate on mid-range power. Not all are going to take it to race track.

@racerdabba, i can understand your love for RTR. But kindly stop mentioning about it on all threads unnecessarily.

Cosmetic changes are very little and are very hard to notice in this spy shot! Lets see how the upgrade has affected the performance.
