Wonder what technology has been used to improve service and oil change intervals ? Since most of these bikes are targeted for city riding the wear and tear would be more on the ECG with increased service intervals !

It's the same Bajaj 100cc Engine.Nothing different,I believe. All they did is that they upgraded the suspension so it will do good on bad roads,It already has a good suspension setup.

· India’s first 100 cc bike to sport a stunning LED DRL technology

· ComforTec enhances rider’s comfort by reducing jerks by 20%

11th October 2017: Bajaj Auto has launched the new Platina ComforTec with LED Daylight Running Lights (DRL): the first Indian bike in the 100cc-150cc segment to come with LED DRL and hence consume 88% less power and four times longer life.

Thanks to its lower power consumption, it also delivers higher mileage compared to other bikes with AHO (automatic headlamp on) cementing its reputation of being the ‘world mileage champion’. Available in ebony black with silver decals and cocktail wine with red decals, the new Platina ComforTec with the LED DRLs is introduced with a launch price of Rs. 46,656 (ex-showroom Delhi). It is now available across all Bajaj Auto dealerships in India.

ComforTec is a first of its kind technology introduced in any commuter bike which reduces 20% jerks compared to other 100 cc motorcycles. The Platina features 28% longer travel front suspension and 22% longer rear suspension resulting in superior absorption of jerks, therefore delivering maximum comfort to the rider and enabling a smooth ride. It also sports a ‘spring-soft’ seat, rubber footpads and directional tyres that enhance ride comfort and stability.

Commenting on the introduction of the new Platina, Mr Eric Vas, President Motorcycle Business said “With the introduction of this upgraded Platina ComforTec, we have made a superior product even better. Customers shall love the combination of comfort, superior mileage and LED DRL styling that the new Platina offers”

In addition to the revolutionary LED DRLs, the new Platina ComforTec is powered by the exceptionally reliable and frugal 100cc Bajaj DTSi engine. It also comes with new elegant graphics, a stylish new instrument cluster and superior tyres.
