TVS Scooty Pep+ (2016) Launched

TVS Motor Company has launched the updated version of its popular Scooty Pep Plus priced at 42,153 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and 43,534 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new 2016 model now comes with the all-new advanced EcoThrust engine, which the company claims has by and large improved the performance of the scooter. Moreover the new Scooty Pep Plus comes in new Ecosmart series with two new colour choices - Nero Silver, Nero Blue, along with the existing colour options.

Speaking about the 2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus, Aniruddha Haldar, Head of Marketing - Scooters, TVS Motor Company said, "We have introduced the 2016 TVS Scooty Pep Plus with the all-new advanced EcoThrust engine. The new Ecothrust Engine with multicurve ignition system, throttle force reduction and improved pick-up will give riders a long lasting, trouble free and comfortable ride. The TVS Scooty Pep Plus is available in new colours and graphics in a new Ecosmart series (Nero Silver, Nero Blue). With added appeal and a smoother engine, the 2016 Ecosmart TVS Scooty Pep Plus will see heightened interest among consumers."

While there are no significant changes in the design, the new TVS Scooty Pep Plus now looks more attractive and vibrant thanks to the new style decals. At the heart of the scooter we have the 87.8cc, single cylinder, air-cooled engine that churns out 4.9bhp and 5.8Nm of peak torque paired to a CVT unit. Moreover, thanks to the EcoThrust engine with multicurve ignition system and throttle force reduction, the scooter now claimed to deliver a fuel efficiency of 65 kmpl.

Also the scooter now comes in two riding modes - Economy mode (achieves better fuel efficiency) and Power mode (better pick-up and higher top-speed). As for other general specifications, the new Scooty Pep Plus comes with a kerb weight of 95kg and has the same wheelbase of 1230mm along with a ground clearance of 135mm. The scooter gets 110mm drum brakes both at the front and the rear.

TVS Scooty Pep+ Matte Edition Launched To Celebrate 25 Years Of The Scooter

One of the more popular offerings in its segment, the TVS Scooty Pep+ Matte Edition has been introduced in India to celebrate 25 years of the scooter brand. The Scooty Pep+ matte edition is priced at ₹ 44,764 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is at a premium of ₹ 1500 over the standard version. For the extra money that you spend, the matte edition offers two new colours - Coral matte and Aqua matte - along with a new 3D emblem, fresh graphics and a textured seat for a refreshing look.

BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 51,754

TVS Motor Company has announced the prices of the BS6 TVS Scooty Pep Plus in India. The standard variant is priced at ₹ 51,754 while the Babelicious and Matte Edition series are priced at ₹ 52,954. The prices of the scooter see an increase of about ₹ 6,700 for the standard variant over the BS4 variant. Similarly, the prices of the Babelicious and Matte edition series see an increase of ₹ 6,400 over the corresponding BS4 variants. There isn't much that changes in the scooter in its transition from BS4 to BS6. In fact, only the paint scheme changes. The scooter can now be bought in two new colours of Coral Matte and Aqua Matte.

TVS Scooty Pep Plus Mudhal Kadhal Edition Launched In Tamil Nadu; Priced At ₹ 56,085

Pongal is just around the corner and the celebrating the same, TVS Motor Company has launched the 2021 Scooty Pep+ 'Mudhal Kadhal' edition in Tamil Nadu. 'Mudhal Kadhal' is Tamil-speak for 'first love'. The new edition gets a Tamil logo, which TVS says is a first in the two-wheeler industry. The new edition also gets new graphics and colour option which add a fresh look to the scooter. The TVS Scooty has been around for 26 years now. The special edition scooter is priced at ₹ 56,085 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The prices for TVS Scooty Pep+ start at ₹ 54,475 (ex-showroom, Chennai).
