Honda NAVI Dispatches Commence; Deliveries to Begin in April

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has commenced dispatches for the much awaited NAVI moto-scooter after first revealing the model at the 2016 Auto Expo earlier this year. The quirky new motorcycle underpinned by a scooter's frame was quick to grab everyone's attention, not only for its petite frame but also for its interesting price tag. That said, the Hond NAVI is offered at a starting price of 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Honda Navi Discontinued Again? 1 Unit Dispatched In Last 2 months

2018-Honda-Navi-Launched-in-India-1-696x474.jpg

As per the latest sales data, Honda sold only 1 unit of the Navi in the month of December. Has the low sales figure forced the scooter to be discontinued from the market? Well, it can be a possibility but Honda is yet to announce anything on the matter officially. It is also possible that Honda is again working to update the Navi as new safety regulations will be implemented in the market from 1st April 2019.

Navi was neither a scooter or a bike, but a decent attempt to get the Rajdoot GTS(of Bobby fame) sort of DNA, however they should use the front telescopic suspension on their regular Activa 4G/5G, to give better spine to it's ardent customers.

Honda relaunches NAVi with Activa-derived Combi Braking System

2018-Honda-NAVi.jpg

The Honda Activa-based NAVi went out of production for a couple of months, prompting many to write the epitaph of this funky moto-scooter/monkey bike. Now though, the NAVi is back with a bang, with Honda re-introducing the 2019 edition of the moped with the Activa-derived combi braking system (CBS). CBS is now mandatory on all two wheelers sold in India with engine capacity less than 125cc. Two wheelers with engines bigger than 125cc now need to offer ABS as standard.

Coming back to the 2019 Honda NAVi, it’s priced at Rs. 47,110, ex-showroom Delhi. This price represents a Rs. 1,500 increase over the non-CBS model, and represents a modest price hike that most customers will not mind paying considering the additional factor of safety this feature offers.
