Royal Enfield has so many complaints better go for something else. My one of the friend has Royal Enfield 350 but every month it goes service center to resolve small small issues. Older version of RF was one of the finest Bullet Bikes but latest version was not quite satisfactory
so rethink again.

@ yeashwanthsnaik you got it the otherway around however the new uce models have less complaints compared to cast iron. for driving pleasure i would say cast irons were better but never problem free. the new RE's are less problematic compared to thier earlier generation.

dear Yashwant, brother you ought to get hammered for these remarks. You have no idea what you are talking about.[lol].There are different time periods for RE.Till the end of 1999, RE was using the same technology of the 50's.These where the machines which required constant loving and caring. In the beginning of this millennium the experimentation started happening which came to end by the introduction of UCE in 2009.If you check, from 2010 the engines are called UCE and frequency of visiting the mechanic had come down. Then also, I would say be careful about the first 10 minutes of bullet riding as this is the time you can spoil your engine.Don't know what your friend is riding, but we are here to help. Battery, clutch cable and starter motor may need replacement by the first 2 years.Other than this ,I don't know what "small issues" your friends bullet have? An advice for your friend ,find a good mechanic, preferably who is trained in RE service center but not working in a service center.Make him your good friend then there will be no issue visiting him too.[clap]

Royal Enfield Sells 200 Units of the Despatch Edition in 26 Minutes
It was back in May this year that Royal Enfield unveiled the Classic 500 Limited edition model - Despatch - and said that it would be up for grabs soon. We know the love people share for Royal Enfield bikes in India and when the company decided to sell this limited edition bike online, the response to it was nothing short of overwhelming.

Royal Enfield said it has sold its entire inventory of 200 units of limited edition motorcycles within 26 minutes of opening of online booking. These limited edition Despatch motorcycles were priced at Rs. 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and pay homage to the era of the Despatch Riders of the World Wars.
Only 200 motorcycles per colour have been made- each bearing a unique embossed hallmark detailing particulars of its manufacture and a signature camouflage pattern, achieved by hand. The unique look of the bike is enhanced by the painting the engine & exhaust pipe in black.

The two new colours which will be made available for sale are the 'Desert Storm Despatch' & 'Squadron Blue Despatch'. The Classic 500 Despatch range comes powered by the 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine which produces 27.2bhp.

The company expects to huge hike in sales this year and considering that it has sold 92,845 units in the first quarter of 2015 itself, shows that they have no option but to increase production capacity. The company has already announced that the capacity will go up from 30,000 units a month last year to 50,000 units a month by this year-end.
