Yamaha is now planning to introduce a new high-capacity tourer towards the end of this year.
The bike in question here is the FJR 1300 ES.
This touring motorcycle from Yamaha will fight the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 1000, etc.
Powering the FJR 1300 ES is a 1,298cc, in-line, 4-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled petrol engine producing 138 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed gearbox. The FJR 1300 ES gets a shaft drive, and not a chain or belt.
Features include electronically adjustable suspension, adjustable front windscreen, flexible side panels, riding modes, traction control, throttle control, ABS, cruise control, MID, etc.
Pricing is expected to be in the range of Rs. 12 – 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
