Suzuki To Bring Smash Entry-Level Scooter in India

Suzuki is looking at introducing a new-entry level scooter.



This moped will be called as Smash and will be powered by a 110cc single-cylinder petrol engine that will target the rural market buyers will shift to more powerful mopeds.

The Suzuki Smash will be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo and Suzuki is looking at launching in early 2016.
The new step-through from Suzuki will have 14-inch tyres at least that will make it easier to ride on broken roads in the remote parts of the country, however it will have an engine like a scooter and light body weight of moped.

What is suzuki trying to do? This is neither scooter nor motorcycle. Indian customers won't be able to digest the concept of half bike and half scooter. The target customer's will continue buying Hero splendor or passion to tackle the broken roads in the remote parts of the country.
