Royal enfield is now busy in developing new two engines of 400cc and 600cc which are based on the existing UCE engines. They will power two new motorcycles in 2015 and testing is under progress. What makes an RE lover disappointing is that these are again not V-twins.There was rumour for V twins developed by RE.Royal Enfield will continue to produce single-cylinder engines in the interest of cheaper cost of production.
However, these new powertrains will be capable of producing a lot more torque. While the 400 cc engine is estimated to produce 41 Nm of torque, 13 Nm more than the current 350 cc unit, the 600 cc engine develops 60 Nm of torque, 19 Nm more than the current 500 cc motor.
