Royal enfield is now busy in developing new two engines of 400cc and 600cc which are based on the existing UCE engines. They will power two new motorcycles in 2015 and testing is under progress. What makes an RE lover disappointing is that these are again not V-twins.There was rumour for V twins developed by RE.Royal Enfield will continue to produce single-cylinder engines in the interest of cheaper cost of production.
However, these new powertrains will be capable of producing a lot more torque. While the 400 cc engine is estimated to produce 41 Nm of torque, 13 Nm more than the current 350 cc unit, the 600 cc engine develops 60 Nm of torque, 19 Nm more than the current 500 cc motor.

Royal Enfield Cafe GT 750CC Parallel Twin Coming....

Royal Enfield is testing its 750cc parallel twin in Conti GT chassis. Some of the specification of engine as under as per my study
1. 750 cc Parallel Twin Cylinder DOHC/OHC (not the OHV setup [surprise])
2. Engine Block looks shorter so may be its short stroke nature means power and torque development at Higher RPM
3. CV type Daul Carburetor is used instead of FI system [frustration]
4. Single spark plug per cylinder
5. Oil cooler is used for better heat dissipation.
6. Engine crankcase is not a stressed member in chassis unlike the 500/535cc so it helps to reduce vibration
7. May be higher compression ratio (in region of 10 or above)
8. Daul Exhaust (don't expect note as grunty as 500/535 pushrod) [frustration]
9. Torque is definitely about 60 NM
10. Power is about 40 BHP (don't expect much power from RE engine because they are not interested in that matter)
11. And top speed is 160 Kmph as per my Guess

Re: Royal Enfield's 750 cc parallel twin coming......

They were earlier testing a V Twin.Anything about that? That will look more muscular ! Is there anything wrong with the picture? The gear shifter looks to be on the right side!

No sir, its the brake lever, not gear shifter.

And is it a Free Flow Filter?
No more comments on the bike[frustration]
