Fuel Injection Technology for 2-Wheeler: BOSCH

A major break-through has come up in Asian 2 wheeler industry as spare-parts major Bosch has designed a fuel injection system that shall replace the Carburetors in 2-wheeler in the market. With this new technology, Bosch claimed to improve fuel efficiency by up to 16%.

In what could be a significant step ahead for the Indian two wheeler industry, auto component leader Bosch has announced that it has developed an affordable and robust engine management system that is aimed at making low-cost two wheelers in the Asian markets including India more intelligent and efficient.

I highly doubt whether all bikes will get this esp. commuter bikes like Splendor, Star city, etc because the price will be rocketed to sky and people will buy a carbed P150 straightly for that price.

I believe Hero Glamour Fi, Pulsar 220 Fi was has injectors instead of Carburetor. Hope mass production will considerably reduce the price.

The thing to be noted is the local mechanic. He has to be trained to work with the Diagnostic software.
