Yesterday, another horrible day pushing my Kinetic.
My dad told me that he filled petrol for Rs. 100 without oil and asked me to buyone sachet and pour.
It was night when I poured.
And my dad later told that he has ridden 19 kms after refilling.
That means 25(mileage for Rs. 100) - 19(kms ridden after refilling) = 6 kms worth fuel was there before I poured oil. I didnt know that petrol was low.
So, I went to refill petrol yesterday.
When I started, I let it to idle, The autochoke should start and should raise the idling a bit higher (as kinetic rested for more than 9 hours.), but it didnt, there was much delay for each and it emitted smoke like hell, cloud formed!
I didnt fret at all and started riding to petrol bunk, Kinetic felt like something's wrong.
I continued to ride. I tried to rev more (i cant ride all the way at 20 kmph) and the engine coughed.
And then the engine fully shutted down and I tried kicking at least 8 times but it didnt start.
So pushed it to petrol bunk. I thought the petrol tank is empty and filled for another Rs. 100 with oil premixed (this time, only 15 ml).
Came out of the bunk and tried to kick. It didnt start now also.
I didnt lose hope and continued to kick for 15 times, on 16th kick, I heard a gunshot sound(very very loud and a crowd gathered hearing it) and I turned back and saw Kinetic emitting black greyish smoke. I was literally in tears thinking that it was the work of Boric Acid (yes, I added, didnt had time to post it here, mixed it in acetone and poured in).
Kicked for another 10 times and another gunshot sound came from silencer. This time I fretted so badly that I sat for 2 mins there itself.
Pushed it again till my trusted mechanic and he said that plug got fouled and clogged with more oil and some yellow-whitish substance (yes, it should be the boric acid
Took out the plug and it was the most ugly plug I ever saw.
Mechanic replaced the plug with some 'E8TC SPEEDE' Plug. He said its a genuine imported plug and is at par with NGK. It costed me Rs. 120 (
, I could have went in for a NGK G-Power for that price).
After fitting new plug, tried starting it. Now another gunshot sound(mechanic told me it is the high pressure inside the cylinder). Mechanic told to kick another time with a smile, Kicked and came to life without any hiccups or any problems.
Experienced better acceleration! With a little effort, wheelies can be pulled!
The new plug does wonders.
Yet to check mileage with new plug.
And the HP filter needs cleaning!!!
