Hello.
I am going to buy a bike.
My History:
a) Bajaj Cub.
b) Lambretta Vijay Super.
c) Kinetic Honda ZX.
d) Hero Honda Splendor.

Budget: 90K to 1.5 Lakh. Can be stretched a little bit. (My Father was working in Air Force. I will Buy a bike from CSD Canteen).

Questions:
a) Does the RE TBTS 500 have power explosions and quicker than CBR250R and Duke 200? (More BHP and Torque in RE TBTS 500 Than Duke 200 and CBR250R).
b) The Duke 390 Launched months ago. RE TBTS 500's rate is 1.8 Lakhs and the Duke 390 is also the same rate of 1.8 Lakhs.
c) When does the RE TBTS 500 Starts vibrating?
d) I am 5feet 4inches. Can i suit these bikes/

Please Answer ME! Thanks in Advance.[:)]

It has 27 Bhp and around 4 Kgm but thankfully, it doesn't explode:biggrin:. It's quicker than the CBR/Duke at some rpm ranges (roll-on acceleration) but that's about it. If you are looking at a 'quicker' kind of motorcycle, then the Enfields are not for you - these are more the sort of 'I-buy-Enfield-because-I-want-Enfield-only-whattodo-saar-I'm-like-this-only' motorcycles; if you know what I mean. What's your age?
b) The Duke 390 Launched months ago. RE TBTS 500's rate is 1.8 Lakhs and the Duke 390 is also the same rate of 1.8 Lakhs.
Onions in my city cost Rs. 54/kg and Tomatoes in my city cost Rs. 54/Kg.
c) When does the RE TBTS 500 Starts vibrating?
All the time.
d) I am 5feet 4inches. Can i suit these bikes/

I have a TBTS 350 and my friend recently purchased a duke 390 which was launched near diwali. Not months ago :p

Anyways if you are 5ft 4 duke will suit you. The 390 is a monster with 44 bhp and the accelration is just insane. Bike reaches 100kms in mere seconds ( 3rd gear)

Pros
insane accleration
Head turner for sure. People just keep on looking at the bike.
Abs works are super effective. It just gives you more confidence in braking.

Cons of the bike.
Looks exactly the same like duke 200 (only color difference)
Becomes super hot in minutes. In TBTS you won't feel that much heat.
Is priced at 2 lakhs OTR DELHI.
Mileage of just 15-16 kmpl. And with premium petrol it costs 5rs per kilometer.

His first service is due tomorrow. Will share the cost as well.

@RVSB:
My advice is to wait for a while, Bajaj is nearly done with Pulsar 375(The one with a Duke 390 engine block) though I am not sure when they will launch it but speculations are that it will be launched in 2013 end.
And if you can't wait then Duke 390 is the motorcycle to go for. It costs near equal to what CBR 250 ABS costs but offers a lot more than the Honda does, and of course not to forget the explosive power to weight ratio(yups, it also won't explode with that ratio[;)])
