Hi Folks!
8 months back i bought a 1997 Yamaha RXZ and restored it mechanically to stock condition. Now i am facing problem in Tachometer installation. i have bought RPM cable, cable pinion which fits on clutch cover and the plastic gear which fits on the shaft and rotate the pinion. According to me i think there must be some bush/stopper which help the plastic gear to maintain its position on the shaft because when i try to install the gear it went back inside the shaft after two/three rotation leaving the pinion and cable nonfunctional. Actually i live in remote place and the mechanics here dont know the correct proceedure of its installation.
Therefore i request all RXZ owner to put light on my issue and guide me in proper installation of Tachometer.
