Kochi To Munnar: Route Advice

Hi Friends,

I have been to Munnar four times. But all those times, I have been riding from Trivandrum with friends. This time I would like to start from Cochin with family on our VW Polo Diesel. Google is giving me two options either travel via Muvattupuzha or take the Kakkanad>Aluva route. Any suggestion regarding the best route and any good places enroute?

Also please let me know if there are any good restaurant suggestions on the way.

OR
Aluva-Perumbavur- Kothamangalam-Adimaly- Munnar
Depending on where you start at Kochi.

Thanks for the update Manoj. I am planning to start from Vennala, near Vytila.

I heard the Aluva Perumbavur route is better but not sure.
