Fellow members,
As the title suggests we are planning a road trip from Pune-Jammu-Pune. Plan is to leave from Pune on 8th October and reach Jammu on 10 October with two night halts. I am driving with my wife and two year old daughter.
Initially the route I had in mind was Pune-mumbai-surat-vadodara-godhara-udaipur(stay overnight in udaipur)- kishangarh-hanumangarh (stay overnight in hanumangarh)-abhor-amritsar-Jammu.
Or from udaipur I could take Rohtak rewari panipat route bypassing Delhi and continue via ambala-ludhiana-jalandhar-Jammu.
However google maps shows me a route via ahmednagar-shirdi-dhule-ratlam-chittorgarh. This one seems shorter and drive time is also less.

So i am confused and hence need your inputs on which is the best route to go to Jammu from pune.
Any suggestions are welcome. Please provide your inputs at the earliest so that I can start booking hotels enroute.
