I am not able to see the plan you have uploaded.

Anyway, here is my suggestion I think you can skip the kokan part between Mumbai and Dapoli. Experts can add their thoughts.

Day1 - Reach Dapoli - a day is sufficient for staying here. Maybe Karde/Murud beach
Day2 - Start from Dapoli and take the Maharashtra coastal highway no 4 till GanpatiPule.
You need to use ferry at 2 locations Dabhol-Dhopwe and Tawsal-Jaigad.
Refer Homepage - Suvarnadurga Shipping & Marine Services. The road is very scenic along the coast.
Near Ganpatipule, you could stay at Malgund, GanpatiPule , Bhandarpule.
I stayed at Bhandarpule. Its about 4-5 Kms ahead of Ganpati Pule. You should take the Arey-Warey road from Ganpati Pule. This road is simply superb!! My limited vocabulary will not do justice to the beauty of this road.
Visit temple and Ganpatipule beach.
Day3 - Spend time on any of the beaches Bhandarpule/Arey/Warey. The current is strong and the beaches are isolated. So do take precaution if venturing deep.
Day4 - Proceed towards Malvan/Tarkarli via Ratnagiri using the Arey Warey road till Ratnagiri. I have not done Ratnagiri-Malwan section on the state highway 4, so not sure which road to take between this - either the national highway to Goa or the State highway 4
Day5 - Snorkelling/scuba in the morning and Water sports in the evening. Devbagh near Tarkarli is very good for water sports.
Day6 - Start return journey

people are warning me about heavy rainfall these days. shall I be worried?

even online weather shows full rain for coming 10 days.

also, is there some political unrest going on there?

shall I look into andhra belt if konkan is too wet?

Just that parents were worried. They said it has so much rains that you won't be able to step out and the beaches will be soggy. That confused me.

I guess I should continue with my Planning.

I would say postpone your trip till this month end as rains in konkan are torrential. The sports activity on some beaches are closed in this season. Secondly, the current and waves in sea are very strong.

If you delay the start till at least Sept last week that would be good. Konkan-Goa region looks best from Sept end till Oct end.

Arey Warey road is great to enter Goa (or leave) via Ganapatipule - make sure to start early.

Some of the places on the western stretch and around: Gokarna, Doodhsagar (Oct), Amboli (Oct - NO when raining), Colva beach and other south beaches, Calangute, Miramar, Bagha etc beaches, temples (like Shantadurga temple), Old Goa church, Aguada fort, Reis Magos fort. Then towards north (while going to Goa or returning) Tarkarli, Sindhudurga Fort, Ganapatipule.

Hi Bhvm,

Currently konkan is having heavy rains and is predicted for next couple of Days so Dolphin Rides and Water sports wont be possible.

If you start from Nasik You can keep the following itenary depending on the day

Day 1: Dapoli ( Reach here and take rest as you would have already been driven for around 8 to hours).
Day 2: Local sight seeing of Dapoli

Day 3: Dapoli - Dabhol - Ganapatipule ( includes jetty ride ).

Day 4: Ganaptipule - Pawas

Day 5 : Pawas - Tarkarli ( you can do snorkeling if the water is stable along with Sindudurg fort ).

Day 6: Back to journey for Nasik.

Regarding jain food it is very difficult to find in this belt. But you will find pure veg food.

If you would to stay in Dapoli you can visit my homestay link KonkanTrip: Konkantrip Beach Home Stay

you can PM me or call me if you have any quires.

It is ok, expect and average speed of 30 kmph from Bhor village to Shivthargal. If you are planning on a weekend start early. For food they have prasad which is good and light on stomach that you will really enjoy. On your way back if you have time plan to cover Raireshwar fort as well. There is small flower valley like kaas pathar that you can enjoy. If you are with family start early as you can avoid bachelors you come for weekend parties.
