Hi All,

Need a small here. Planning to drive from Bangalore to Indore and have done this stretch multiple times but have not used too many routes.

The used earlier were
1) Bangalore-Tumkur-Bijapur-Solapur-Barshi-Burhanpur-Khandwa-Indore
2) Bangalore-Belgaon-Kolhapur-Karad-Satara-Shirur (not Pune)-Ahmednagar-Shirdi-Malegaon-Sendhwa-Indore and other one from Satara-Pune-Nagar-Shirdi

Option 1 had a very very bad road and most of the part was without divider, so had to follow the truck in front to give space for crossing of the oncoming vehicle- not good.

Option 2 is used more and have taken Satara-Shirur route earlier and Satara-Pune -SHirur as well. The first has undivided road and full of potholes and the other one is full of 2Wheeler traffic. Can someone suggest a better route with some better option? If not other option, any good time to pass through these areas where the 2W traffic is less. People travel with families and children and sometime overtaking becomes tricky.
Any help will sure be accelerated to. Cheers and thanks.

Why don't you try Bangalore-Belgaon-Kolhapur-Karad-Pune-Panvel-Thane(bypass)-Nashik-Malegaon-Sendhwa-Indore. It will add some 100 km extra but the road is very good condition and throughout divided highway.
Pune-Mumbai is express highway(8 lane) very good road and Thane-Nashik is also 6 lane highway with good road.

Hi Kukku,

Thanks for the advise. Yes, this can be considered as another option and have used this route earlier for 2 separate trips. The additional 80-90 kmts sometimes cost 3/4 hours on that stretch and that is where I am bit skeptical.
Would you know how is the road Pune-Sangamner - Nashik road? Is it divided 02 lane or undivided 2 lane and the road condition itself.

I have traveled on Nashik-Sinnar-Sangamner, its a 3 lane undivided highway with good truck traffic, specially Nashik-Sinnar patch sometimes is very bad in terms of traffic as this route is also used for Shirdi.
