Route Suggestion For TN Trip From Hyderabad

Hello guys after a long time.We are again planning to do a trip to TN day after tomorrow i.e 10/09/2015 from Hyderabad.Will be starting from Hyd on 10th morning and want to reach Kanchi by same day night.After Kanchi,planning to go to Thiruvanamalai next day i.e 11th and reach Kumbakonam same day.Maybe on Sunday,we may go to Srirangam and reach Madurai on same day itself.After this,will be going to Rameswaram and on 15th will be going to Srikalahasthi,AP from Rameswaram and by 16th,we should start from Srikalahasthi to Hyderabad.

The car is Innova.

Hi, Just a small change in plan would make you more convenient.
From Kancheepuram head to Kumbakonam on the same day. From Rameswaram reach Kalahasthi via Thiruvannamalai. But this journey is going to be tiresome as 50% of your travel will be in State highways. Rameswaram - Madurai - Trichy - Thiruvannamalai is a better route than as you get into NH45 from Madurai.

There are 3 routes to reach Kumbakonam via NH45.
1. The bus route is via Dinidvanam, Vikravandi, Panruti, Vadalur, Sethiathope. Vikravandi - Panruti, the road is terrible. Avoid it. Traveled just 10 days back.
2. Reach Panruti by taking left at Arasur, about 10 kms from Villupuram. Little better.
3. Ulundurpet, Virudachalam, Jayamkondam, Kumbakonam. No idea, but mostly notorious for bad road. Anyone from this stretch please confirm.

Actually the plan is to reach Kanchipuram on that day and start from there next day to Thiruvanamalai and Kumbakonam.At Kumbakonam,we are going to stay for 2 nights and go to Madurai on 13th and stay at Rameswaram on 14th and we are going to start from Rameswaram on 15th and reach Srikalahasthi on same day night.On 16th,we are going to start from Srikalahasthi to Hyderabad.Our target is to reach Hyd by 16th night as we have Ganesh Chaturthi festival next day at our society.

The plan got reveresed.First we went to Kalahasthi on Thursday night and stayed there and went to Kanchi from Kalahasthi via Nagari-Puttur-Thiruthani-Thiruvallur-Sriperambadur-Kanchi and went to Thiruvanamalai in the night from Kanchi via Vandavasi on next day night.After Darshan in Thiruvanamalai,headed to Kumbakonam on Saturday and started from there yesterday after visiting 12 temples after roaming around temples in Kumbakonam.Yesterday night,we came to Madurai and now,reporting from there itself.Had Darshan at Meenakshi Amman temple and heading to Srirangam,which is near Trichy for Darshan and will be staying at Bangalore tonight.The route for Srirangam-Bangalore is via Trichy-Salem-Hosur.

Till now,we visited 19 temples around TN and AP,which is a record breaking.

And,forgot to say,we have travelled about 1800 Kms in 5 days.If we go to Srirangam,we may cross 2000 Kms.500 Kms did within Kumbakonam itself.

Starting odo from Hyd-1,00,815
Now-1,02,600 Kms as of today

The car is Innova VX 2012 August grey colour and this belongs to my dad's friend.It has completed 3 years on August end and got the WA/WB the day before handing it over to us.It may complete another milestone i.e 1.03L Kms by today.

Came back home from Bangalore in the evening.Had entered the Madurai 4L road on 15/09 at 2pm and reached Trichy at 4:15pm after lunch.After Darshan in Trichy,we started to BLR at 8:30pm and reached BLR at 1:30am via Namakkal-Salem-Krishnagiri-Hosur-BLR.The highlight is we reached BLR in 2 hours from Salem that too in an Innova.At around 2am,had checked in into the room in Marathahalli and started from Marathahalli at 10am and entered ORR at 10:45am and had lunch at Mahabubnagar route and after we reached there,8 HD bikes were entered into that hotel and got to know that they are doing Kashmir to Kanyakumari trip on their HD's.Then reached home at 7:15pm due to heavy traffic.

Total odo is 2813 Kms and from Trichy to Hyd,it's about 910 Kms.
