Bangalore to Goa in August End. Which Route is Best?

I am traveling to goa in my own car by this month end (August end). I want to know which is the best route at this time. I will really be thankful if somebody can tell me correct information in this regard. Also I am planning for a night stay during the travel. So if possible suggest me some "on the way resort" with reasonable rate. Thanks.

Hello Vagish , Welcome to TAI.
I did recently a trip to Goa.
I would suggest you to go Via Hubli-yellapur-Ankola route,
As this route is better compared to Shimoga & from Manglaore.
