Bangalore - Udupi By Ritz - Which Route? (Urgent)

my friend and I are planning a Bangalore-Udupi trip this Friday. we need to reach Udupi as quickly as possible.
could someone please show us the right route to take? a route which has less ghat and good roads.

The route you mentioned is good. But, isnt there a faster route than the one thru Mangalore ?
Gundya - Dharmasthala - Guruvayanakere - Karkala - Udupi
Gundya - B C Road - Moodabidri - Karkala - Udupi
Hassan-Belur-Mudigere-Charmadi Ghat-Guruvayankere -Karkala-Udupi

Heard that Karkala-Udupi road is not in great condition !

I replied without knowing much. Just wanted to give some suggestion to look for. I never traveled to Udupi from Bangalore by Car in recent times.

Hope someone like mukeshus can reply to this thread.

Iinfi, take the usual route that's the best one to travel in rains.

The route as shown in the map is the good one, with refreshments enroute.

Take Bangalore-Tumkur-Arsikere-Shimoga-Agumbe-Hebri-Udupi. Very Scenic this time of the year.
Also can take Bangalore-Hassan-Belur-Mudigere- Kalasa-Kudremukh-Karkala-Hiriyadka-Udupi, Very scenic again.

Since you want to avoid Ghats, the best route is Bangalore-Hassan-Sakleshpur-Mangalore-Udupi. BUT there is a big question mark about the road condition in the Shiradi Ghat. As you have cancelled the trip, May be this info will help someone else.
