My first self drive car rental experience with ‘Zoomcar’. The best thing about Zoomcar is 'Punctuality'. Got car delivery bang on time. But good things just ended there. Car was delivered in very bad condition, Bad cigarette odor, Dirty interior/exterior, Broken rear-wiper, Non-working headlamp washers, useless power adapter etc.

During routine document check at a Police check-post near Malvan in Maharashtra. We came to know that PUC certificate provided by Zoomcar was forged. Number 10 was made to look like 18 on the PUC. Zoomcar didn’t accept the forgery initially , but when they understood they have been caught red handed, they advised us to bribe policemen and close the matter. When policemen gave them a mouthful, Zoomcar asked us to pay required fine & promised to reimburse the amount. They also gave us an option to extend our booking by 1 Hr without any additional money to shut our mouth. But how does this justify the forgery ? No idea. The issue was settled later on as the car itself was less than an year old and it doesn’t actually need a PUC. But the way Zoomcar guy had forged PUC in a hurry so that their 3 day booking is not affected tells us a story here.

This is my vlog review of the complete journey and Zoomcar experience- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixVSMp2-zMc

Happy Zooming....

Re: Zoomcar Review- PUC Forgery

This is the shocking news. [surprise]
Zoomcar has in bad books for some long time. Some more incidents are :-
  • Spare tyre with no thread at all
  • Brake pads that have worn out
  • Exteriors and interiors in bad condition
  • Cars are never serviced on time

Re: Zoomcar Review- PUC Forgery

Cant agree more, Gautam.
There are multiple issues with the way Zoomcar operates. Although from outside its all glitter, when we actually deal with them, we get the clear picture. I have seen lot of Zoom cars stranded by roadside in recent past. The service is definitely degrading and they seem to be not at all worried about it. Along with convenience and comfirt, now even customer safety is also being compromised. Zoom cars indeed are ticking time bombs !!
