Hi Stingray!

I do not give a nick name to ICE of my car. Anyways dear, The Head Unit is of Kenwood that had been fixed by ASC of Honda at time of purchase 3 years back. Its got a USB slot and a remote which is sufficient for me.

Coming to speaker configuration: Originally my car came with 4 speakers only i.e 2+2. However, earlier this year got the front component speakers changed from OEM to Rockford Fosgate Prime that costed me 6000 along with a pair of tweeters in front A pillar. At present there is no amplifier. Its just 2 way 4 ohm speakers and tweeter.

Here are some pics:

The fixing was done at Driven outlet in New Delhi by Subhan after which the sound quality has definitely improved in comparison to the Non-Kenwood speakers that were sold to me by the ASC in name of Kenwood speakers.

Here's a small story behind the upgrading of front speakers! (Dated May-2014)

When someone gets the pocket money for the month, he/ she spends it up either on partying or on movies or on clothing. But my pocket money for this month went into installing Rockford front component speakers with 2 tweeters for my City I-vtec.

The idea for installing a pair of good speakers came to me at 39000 ft. yesterday evening while coming back from Mumbai. So, when I received my pocket money today, my plans started taking shape.

After dropping Paa at office went to Driven (Kailash Colony) New Delhi. Met Subhan and discussed about the kind of setup I was looking for. He suggested to go for Hertz or for Rockford. I told him that my main concern is that the sound quality should be good. Hence, he finally told me to go in for Rockford.
Regards

Akash

snaps and guides at my thunderbolt thread bro.
the xuv factory HU is already Amazing! yes used can set how aggressively you want increase in volume with respect to speed.

I feel that adding a variety of speakers adds more fidelity and uniform sound output rather than a FEW loud speakers all cranked up. at home I run a 15 speaker self designed system with 2 woofers.

What model is the HU . is it distortion at high volume?
Subwoofer preouts are there?
Dvd supported?

Does the doors vibrate ? Hows the bass response?
Tight or boomy?

.
Did you experience any other cars ice setup to be better?
If so share some info on it too

Model is WX GT88UI . I am not a high volume listener, once tried reaching upto 25 and found almost zero distortion.

Yes, there is direct connection for Sub Woofer. Bass response is best, its neither too flat nor too boomy, you have to set "db" properly for front and back speakers as per your choice.

Along with USB and AUX, only CD's are supported along with format like MP3/WMA/AAC. My entire ICE setup was done by Hyundai ASS.
