HANGED TILL DEATH IN PUBLIC![anger]
This should be the law from now on. This should have been done long back. The hanging should be telecasted on national television so that people will remember it before doing something so inhuman. [frustration]

Post incident we are so conclusive, but have you ever thought of how it would have been prevented ?
I feel sorry for females especially in India, at every next step of life taken they may be a potential victim and we live so ignorantly.

I suspect 1 out of 1000 men if left out of law boundary may succumb to such or even worse heinous actions ,studies in west have shown even smaller ratios.

It is so frightening to imagine that such cruelty is prevalent only among us Humans and very rare or accidental in any other species on face of earth.

A girl liking a Facebook post gets immediate arrest but a gang rape requires "due process".
The law here is a cruel joke !!!

It's high time that our laws needs to reviewed

It's high time that our laws needs to reviewed. Let us do our part. Send your suggestions to justice.verma@nic.in or through FAX at 011-23092675.

THIS IS IMPORTANT (DELHI RAPE CASE)

Today, the Government of India has put out a Public Notice, asking people from all walks of Indian society to give their feedback on progressive measures which can be implemented in our legal system, so that faster trials and better justice can be delivered to women who are victims of sexual assault.

Such modified laws will also hopefully act as a strong deterrent to monsters who believe they can get away lightly after assaulting women.

For all the fair outrage we all express through social media, here is an actual step we can all take, by using this platform to write in to the JUSTICE VERMA COMMITTEE.

Justice J. S. Verma is the former Chief Justice of India.

While some of us might still be skeptical of the change that government-appointed committees like this can bring about, I urge all women and men reading this, to consciously give it a try, accumulate their suggestions on how they believe the laws can change, and email those views to the committee. It really cannot hurt us any more than what already has.

YOUR VIEWS HAVE TO BE EMAILED TO justice.verma@nic.in

Your friends who may not have access to email can fax in their views to 011-23092675.

RESPONSES HAVE TO REACH BY 5TH OF JANUARY, 2013.

So please take a little time out to discuss and debate this grave issue amongst friends and family, and arrive at a clear set of your suggestions to send across.

DO SHARE THIS WITH AS MANY FRIENDS AS POSSIBLE

Re: Where is Our Society Leading? (Guwahati Molestation Case)

This is shocking and getting more & more serious day per day. these kind of incidents are common and the govt. and police is not doing anything. instead people blame girls..our country will never progress if people will condemn girls at every point. men are also wrong. some times they are the only ones who are wrong.

Re: Where is Our Society Leading?

reading about the case of the bus rape incident.
apparantly some priest says that part of the blame is the girls because she did not pray for them to leave her alone. is this true
the unfortunate thing about rape is that a majority of this is not reported and we do not have the correct stats.
wish we could re-instate the death penalty but our gov. does not want to because it is a violation of human rights,
the law abiding citizen is asking, what about the victims rights

Re: Where is Our Society Leading?

That priest have gone nuts. Sorry not mean to offend anyone. But , what he said was, if girl would have called those mans brother and pleaded to them , then they would have left her untouched. And also said that it was her mistake as well. And know what there are millions of people in India who are following this priest like mad.

My mom was one many years ago, she is now following no one. [lol]
