Mumbaikars have two great reasons to rejoice. First, Red Bull is coming up with the first ever soapbox race in Bandra (http://www.theautomotiveindia.com/f...ace-mumbai-december-2-registrations-open.html). Second, Vodafone is organizing Speedfest with Lewis Hamilton driving a F1 car this Sunday (16 September 2012). The location for this event was initially kept as Marine Drive but after some objections raised by local residents, Vodafone organizers have decided to move it to Bandra Kurla Complex.

> Venue: Bandra Kurla Complex, at the stretch beginning from the Asian Heart Institute.

> Time: Gates open by 5.30 pm - Shows starts at 6.30 pm

> Date: 16 September 2012

If this was in Bangalore I wouldn't have hesitated for a moment to attend.
Last year it happened on Sep 27 on NICE Road.
This time it's Mumbai fans will get a chance to address the event at BKC, Mumbai.
However the coverage can be viewed live at 6:30 pm today, here: Vodafone India Official - YouTube

The live feeds have started, they are showing the previous years video, along with Mumbai streets.

OMG the roads are much bigger than what we had witnessed here.

Any TAI n's witnessed the event.

It was OK coverage on Youtube, with video pixelating.[thumbsdown]

It would have been a great experience for Mumbai fans, but initially rain spoilt the beauty, where they fitted wet tyre, later super soft.

Lewis himself had to say that he did 220 kmph on that stretch.

Mandira's interview was funny, she didn't even knew it was MP4 27 Mclaren car.

Then it was SL-65 AMG ...

One of the contestant had to say that the engine broke down.[lol]

Looks like the car went into limp mode.

However SClass with Laal Batthi was doing rounds.
