Urgent Help: Total Loss Insurance Claim

Hello all
I met with an major accident (car toppled) with my brand new swift. It will come under total loss damage. Please note I have learning license n I was accompanied by a friend who has permanent license.
Also on calling the officials we checked on the fact that a FIR is required or not? The officials told if you have not hit third party. FIR is not required.
Please help me in knowing whether I will have problem in claiming the insurance. As it will be complete money loss for me

There's no need to file FIR. Just make sure accident didn't happen because of your negligence (over speeding , rash driving) or you may lose the claim. Since the car toppled i guess you were doing high speed?

Thanks for the update no i was not overspeeding dog came by on highway to save him I diverted the car n it went derail n when I tried bringing it up it got toppled. What's your take on it?
