Maruti Suzuki is reportedly ended the production of the current Ignis. Updated ignis in works and is due to be launched shortly.

The refreshed Ignis is likely to get the same treatment as the recently updated Baleno. This means a mild design tweak for the bumpers, new-look alloy wheels and subtly updated interiors. Additionally, the Ignis will also get Maruti Suzuki's new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system that made its debut on the Wagon R, and is now also available on the Baleno facelift. Also, just like the refreshed Baleno, Maruti Suzuki is likely to add more features in the lower variants too, especially the stylish LED projector headlamps that are currently available only on the higher variants.

Maruti is working on a facelifted version of the Suzuki Ignis, which is expected to be launched soon in the Indian market. Maruti Suzuki is expected to update the car only cosmetically to keep it fresh in the market. We can expect a new bumper and grille while the rest of the body will remain as it is. Even the interiors are supposed to get updated with new fabric on the seats and slight changes on the dashboard.

The new Ignis will not see much change in terms of design but will receive updated features. For one, it will now get roof rails on the top variants. It could get a new color scheme and body graphics as part of the update.

Ignis was offered with roof rails on international spec variants, but not in India. In fact, the Ignis concept showcased in India, was wearing roof rails. But when the car was launched, roof rails were gone. With 2019 update, Maruti is launching Ignis with roof rails in India, which will make it similar to export variants.

2020 Maruti Ignis photos leak – Gets S Presso inspired grille

2020-maruti-ignis-facelift-spied-6.jpg

There have been multiple reports that Maruti will be bringing in a minor facelift of the Ignis sometime in 2020, however till now, clear images of the product hadn’t surfaced. Now, latest images from Instagram Account ‘Suzuki Garage’ clearly reveal the 2020 Ignis with an updated look.

The major change which can be noticed from the images is the new grille which looks similar to the one seen on the S-Presso. In fact, partially, it resembles the toothed grilles found on current-gen Mahindra Scorpio and Jeep Compass.

Other changes include minor restyling changes to front bumper & other plastic parts. Also, it can be noticed that the car which has been captured in the photograph is of a different colour scheme than the ones which are offered by Maruti currently. This could also mean that Maruti might introduce couple of new paint options for customers
