Electric vehicles (EV) have been in a zone of misinformed decisions and dreams for quite a while. The latest 100 years of living with wasteful and dirtying vehicles have caused people to accept that electric transportability is an abnormal idea whose time is yet to come.

Its going to be interesting to see electric car launches and its performance and range.

Electric cars are not cleaner than Diesel/ Petrol cars, for the reason that to move an electric car, it needs electric power to be generated from burning coal (at least in India) to charge the batteries and the Battery is high hazard disposal problem. Even if we keep aside the power transmission losses form power plant to point of charge. The carbon footprint for the car to travel 1km is much lesser in Diesel/ Petrol car rather than in Electric car.
Electric cars are high performers, and for the performance electric cars are desired and not for cleaner car attitude.
