I have been using michellin 185/65/14 on my hyundai i20. Currently using Michellin, drove around 60000 kms , awesome tyre , super silent, great handling but a little soft tyre.
Side Wall of two Tyres have badly damaged, had to specially repair them with extra rubber.
Now confused in Michellin XM2, Bridgestone B290, Yokohama Earth1, Conti CC5 , MRF and some others too.
Pls guide which will be best option - 2000 kms a month running, 80& good roads, 20% bad roads.

My 2013 igen i20 too was running on 185/65/R14 Yokohama C drive. Never faced any issues with the tyres. I recently upgraded to 185/70/R14 Yokohama Earth1.

Benefits of increasing tyre profile :-
- Slightly higher ground clearance.
- Increased comfort.
- Less chances of rims getting scraped.
- Wheel well gets filled up which enhances the look.

Pros of Yokohama Earth1 :-
- Excellent grip.
- Negligibly road noise.
- Increased comfort.

No cons experienced yet.

My Qualis and Sx4 too are shodded with Yokohama Earth1 and i have experienced these tyres on all kinds of roads and never ever faced any issues. So, would suggest you to go for Yokohama Earth1.

Me too went for Yoko Earth 1 185/70/14..... Drove only 500 kms...

No Noise, Increased ground clearance, excellent handling (Dry and Wet)

However, small pebbles do get stucked up in the thread designs.

Overall a good tyre.

Will update more after a few thousand kms....

I got 4 tyres for 16200/- with alignment and balancing.

I hope they are worth it
Absolutely worth it. Rs.4050 including alignment and balancing is a very good price.

Will change my Swift's tyres to Yoko Earth 1 185/70/14 after 5-7k kms (currently using MRF ZLO 185/70/14).
