Counted among the largest auto manufacturers of India, Tata Motors have suddenly made a grand re-entry into the passenger car scene. The first wave was seen in the form of the Tiago and Tigor while the next hit was the Harrier. The last blow by them which made other manufacturers worried was at the Geneva auto expo this year where the automaker showcased 4 new upcoming vehicles. Tata Tiago, Tigor production cut by 50 percent as inventory increases

Left with high stocks of the Tata Tiago and Tigor, the company has cut production by as much as 50 percent since May 2019, reveals Financial Express. The dealers have high inventory of these two models while the company stockyard is low on space causing the company to take this decision.

The Tiago and Tigor are produced at the company’s Sanand facility in Gujarat which contributes 60 percent to passenger vehicle production. Nexon, Harrier, Hexa, Safari, etc as well as commercial vehicles in the company’s lineup are produced from its Pune plant.

Tata Hexa 4×4 SUVs ordered by Bangladesh Army for official use

Tata Hexa is one of the most capable 4×4 SUV to be made in India. Not only owners of Hexa, but in off-road enthusiasts in general stand by the car’s pff-roading performance. After months of product testing, Bangladesh Army has decided to purchase 200 units of Made in India Tata Hexa 4×4 SUVs.


Tata Hexa was able to meet all the requirements and specifications of the Bangladesh Army. The feat is no small one, as Tata Motors had to compete against other capable SUVs. For Tata, this is the auto manufacturer’s first key order from the Bangladesh Army.

Tata Group to set up Rs 4,000cr lithium-ion battery plant

Ahmedabad: In a major push to electric mobility in Gujarat, Tata Group, has committed an investment of Rs 4,000 crore to set up a lithium-ion battery plant in Dholera Special Investment Region(DSIR) in Gujarat. According to a senior state government official, the company has already acquired a land parcel of 126 acre in Dholera.

“Tata Group has already made an announcement to set up a lithium-ion battery manufacturing unit. They have procured land of 126 acres and in the first phase, the company will make an investment of Rs 1,000 crore,” said Jaiprakash Shivhare, managing director, Dholera Industrial City Development Limited (DICDL), while interacting with media persons on the sidelines of Gujarat Aviation Conclave organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Mumbai, September 20, 2019:
To enhance the festive joy this year, Tata Motors today announced the launch of the Pro Editions on various models including Harrier, Hexa, Nexon, Tigor and Tiago. Customers can upgrade their Tata cars to the Pro editions by paying as little as INR 29,999.

The Pro editions have been designed keeping in mind the ever-evolving demands of the customers who want their cars to reflect their lifestyle. While on one hand they offer highly functional elements like front parking sensors, app based TPMS and wireless mobile holders, the Pro Editions will up the desirability quotient of the cars by offering features like automatic sunroof, chrome packs and ambient mood lighting to name a few. Tata Motors Showcases New Ultra Trucks In South Africa

Tata Motors has showcased two new variants of its Ultra truck range- Ultra Plus 1418 and Ultra 814 AMT in South Africa at the Futuroad Expo 2019 in Johannesburg. While the Ultra AMT 814 is from the existing range, the Ultra Plus 1418 is an entirely new vehicle in the Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) range. Powered by the 5.0-litre diesel engine, Ultra Plus 1418 is a multipurpose offering and is available in the wheelbase options of 4900 mm and 5300 mm. The vehicle will offer a payload capacity of seven to eight tonnes.

Mumbai, September 25, 2019:
Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive brand ranked 31 of the 2000 on Forbes’ World’s Best Regarded Companies 2019 list. The company has also emerged amongst the top five ranked global automobile manufacturers, joining 16 other Indian Companies in this global list.

Tata Motors rank leaped from 70th rank last year to rank 31 this year. The Best Regarded Companies are selected on the evaluations of over 15,000 survey participants from more than 50 countries, who assess global enterprises on parameter such as trustworthiness, social conduct, company as an employer and performance of the product or service.
