Petrol, diesel price hiked by 60 paisa per litre

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 60 paisa per litre on Monday, for the second day in a row, as state-owned oil firms reverted to daily price revisions after a 83-day hiatus. Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 72.46 per litre from Rs 71.86 on Sunday, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 70.59 a litre from Rs 69.99, according to a price notification of state oil marketing companies.

Petrol price has been hiked by 54 paise per litre, while diesel by 58 paise for the 3rd straight day after oil PSUs ended 82-day hiatus in rate revision. On Monday also, petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 60 paisa per litre, for the second day in a row by state-owned oil firms. Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 72.46 per litre from Rs 71.86 on Sunday, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 70.59 a litre from Rs 69.99, according to a price notification of state oil marketing companies.

Petrol, diesel price hiked for 5th day in a row. Check revised rates

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Thursday for the fifth consecutive day since state-owned oil companies returned to the normal practice of daily reviews after coronavirus lockdown. With effect from 6 am, the price of both petrol and diesel went up by 60 paise a litre each today. During the last five days, the price of petrol has gone up by ₹2.74 a litre and that of diesel by ₹2.83 a litre in New Delhi.

The price of petrol was revised to Rs 74 per litre in Delhi from Rs 73.40 per litre, the diesel rate was increased to Rs 72.22 per litre from Rs 71.62 per litre, according to notifications from state-run Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest fuel retailer. In last four hikes, petrol price has gone up by Rs 2.14 per litre and diesel by Rs 2.23.

Petrol And Diesel Prices Hiked For The Sixth Day In a Row

Today the price of petrol has gone up by 57 paise per litre and diesel now is costlier by 59 paise. The oil firms have adjusted the retail rates for the sixth day in a row and hence the price of the both the fuels has gone up.

According to a report in PTI, Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 74.57 per litre from Rs 74, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 72.81 a litre from Rs 72.22. This is in accordance with the price notification of state oil marketing companies.Rates have been increased across the country and vary in each state depending on the incidence of local sales tax or value added tax.

Petrol and diesel prices were hiked on Saturday for the seventh day in a row adjusted retail rates in line with costs since ending an 82-day hiatus in rate revision. Petrol price was hiked by 59 paise per litre while diesel by 58 paise. In seven hikes, petrol price has gone up by Rs 3.9 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.

Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 75.16 per litre from Rs 74.57, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 73.39 a litre from Rs 72.81, according to a price notification of state oil marketing companies.

Petrol price was hiked by 62 paise per litre while diesel by 64 paise. In eight hikes, petrol price has gone up by Rs 4.52 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.64.

Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 75.78 per litre from Rs 75.16, while diesel rates were increased to Rs 74.03 a litre from Rs 73.39, according to a price notification of state oil marketing companies. In eight hikes, petrol price has gone up by Rs 4.52 per litre and diesel by Rs 4.64 -- a record increase in rates in any eight days since the daily price revision was introduced.

In Delhi, petrol will now cost Rs 76.26 per litre after an increase by 48 paise and diesel 74.62 per litre after it was raised by 59 paise. On Dunday, Petrol price was raised by 62 paise and diesel by 64 paise in the national capital.

Petrol price on Monday was hiked by 33 paise per litre and diesel by 58 paise to take retail rates to record high as the oil companies increased prices for the 16th day in a row. In 16 days, the petrol price has been hiked by Rs 8.3 per litre and diesel by Rs 9.46 - a record increase in rates of the fuel in any fortnight since pricing was deregulated in April 2002.

Petrol price in Delhi was hiked to Rs 79.56 per litre from Rs 79.23 while diesel rates were increased to Rs 78.55 a litre from Rs 78.27, according to a price notification of state oil marketing companies.

Petrol price on Tuesday was hiked by 20 paise per litre and diesel by 55 paise as the oil companies increased prices for the 17th day in a row that took the cumulative increase to a steep Rs 8.5 and Rs 10.01 per litre, respectively.

Diesel costlier than petrol in Delhi, fuel price hiked 18th day in a row

For the first time, diesel price has surpassed the petrol as fuel rate hiked for the 18th day in a row on Wednesday. The diesel price was hiked by 48 paise while there was not a hike in petrol by price. Diesel will cost Rs 79.88 per litre and petrol Rs 79.76 per litre in Delhi on Wednesday.

The prices of petrol and diesel have increased in the national capital by Rs 8.50/litre and nearly Rs 10.48/litre, respectively, over the past 18 days.

According to government data, the gap at its widest at Rs 30.25, or nearly74%, on June 18, 2012, when petrol cost Rs 71.16 a litre and diesel Rs 40.91 in Delhi. In Mumbai, the gap was widest at Rs 31.17 on June 28 the same year when petrol sold at Rs 76.45 a litre and diesel Rs 45.28.
