Re: Spied - The New Yamaha R15

Though the bike seems a little taller the handle bar position is a bit low IMO and so it still should not be comfortable for tall people like us.

So i think the new R15 must have hit the dealerships already! Its only a matter of time till they completely sell off the remaining old stock!

Re: Spied - The New Yamaha R15

If the saree guard is mandatory, then so should be the rear grab handles.

It makes absolutely no sense in not having a grab rail.
It to me seems amusing that the govt is concerned about sarees not getting stuck in the wheel, but doesnt care if the pillion falls off.
Also, how much weight would a grab rail add?
At most 0.5 KG.
Also when the current bike is 5 kg heavier, why skip on an important feature?

Also the fact that Yamaha is known to give the best quality products.
One cant help but think whether it would not have been appropriate to include an optional ABS?

Re: Spied - The New Yamaha R15 - Now Launched

If the R15 is widely accepted in the export market, then that will be a big achievement, and a proud moment for all the existing R15 owners.
However, keeping in mind the heated up competition with the inclusion of CBR150R, Duke 200, and 200NS,the export might very well be a PR stunt as well.

Export is Necessary for Yamaha India, as their production capacity to sales ratio does not match.
