Handle riser 2.0
The first set of riser, old bearing, which I installed temporarily till I could mill out some spacer, but eventually forgot and stayed in place all these time, more than 2 years.
After checking almost all bar end weights, found RE ones perfect for the job. Apache 150's was even better, but it's not available anymore.
Bar End Weight - 521201/B - ₹ 101.00 x 2
and like the bike, it was rusted from factory
It had almost flat profile in either side.
Dimensions:
3 cm/1-1/8 inch tall.
and 3.5 cm/1-3/8 inch diameter.
Made the hole bigger starting with a millimeter bigger, incrementing another millimeter and finally 12 mm. It was quite easy, the internal ring was aluminium or aluminium like. Bored through without any drama. Need a vice to hold it.
Primed and painted.
Longer Allen bolts, 4 inch. Got from the old school bolt shop in town (Seetha Stores). They had most of the bolts available. Tell the length and thread/head size, they'll get in no time. They also had the Nyloc Nut. ₹ 90.00 for a pair of each.
with outgoing KTM bolts, which was shorter by an inch and a half.
Couple of thick washers. The surface wasn't perfectly flat, so needed these.
KTM Handle Bottom Holder in proper position.
Rotated it 180 degrees and the handle came closer by a centimeter.
Looks a bit ugly, but powder-coating silver parts will make them look better.
Bolt is a bit longer. need to trim that as well.
Cockpit view.
Final looks.
Total damage for the spacer - ₹ 290.00
