Bought some goodies

2015-07-08 07-22-31.jpg

After 6 months of umpteen time spare booking, finally got the twin seat.

Price details:
Dual Seat Assembly with Backrest & Cowl - 585555/C - ₹ 4,150.00
Pillion Foot Rest RH - 585656/A - ₹ 219.00
Pillion Foot Rest LH - 585282/A - ₹ 219.00

Also bought a can of TriboCor WC40 chain lube. 500 ml only 360, way cheaper than Motul. There was also another brand, at 300 bucks, which they use at service center.

The Twin seat cowl and the original seat

Twin seat with cowl.

They call it back rest, but with leaned seating position, you have to sit max to the end to at least get your arse touch it.

2015-07-09 08-30-53.jpg

It looks outright fugly from evey angle

2015-07-09 08-31-29.jpg

Upholstery job is pretty shoddy and 4k is too overpriced considering R15 seat costs only around 1k

2015-07-09 08-42-53.jpg

Pillion foot pegs. 219 INR each. RHS one acts as exhaust bolt.

2015-07-09 08-46-06.jpg

Exhaust wrap. Cost 1.6k. Enough to wrap 2 bikes. It's fiberglass and gotta handle with care. Use gloves to wrap, still it was itching all over body.

2015-07-09 18-47-32.jpg

2 inch hose clip. 15 INR. Need this to hold the wrap in place.

2015-07-09 18-50-46.jpg

Wrapped. See the hose clip in place.

2015-07-09 19-23-45.jpg

Done. Installed back the stock exhaust. The other one lacked refinement though it was not too loud. Wrap burns and fumes till it reaches the saturation point, so have to adjust for few days till it is done.

Beach side rest

hi deville_56
How is your ownership experience going on ? by the way your bike looks very decent with twin seat without rear cowl. Also i like the Wildbore Exhaust note. Should i opt for it...?

So far so good, just some silly issues popping once in a while. There is no clear idea of who makes the real Wildboar. Here there are "N" types of duplicates [frustration] For GT, there is one from RE and another from Red Rooster.

Awesome ride mate! [clap]
Cool practical mods. The OE exhaust looks too bulky however the later one on your bike were pleasing.
Megaphone was really light and compact. There was evident difference in flickability, but lack of refinement forced to revert to stock. Glasswool packing would have made it better, but no option to fill it like other regular FFE.

@Deville_56 Red Roosters are performance exhausts while wild bore and mega phone doesnt give much on the performance side. According to the red Rooster they claim that there would be a 20% increase in performance after installing Red Rooster. i havent installed it but my friend has installed it on his TB 350 looks awesome as he is gone for the brushed steel look not the chrome one. also he says the pick up is improved.

Colleague of mine bought 2 for a single bike. One chrome and one brushed aluminum. But I wonder how there would be bump on performance in these Fi bikes (the 500s) without tweaking the ECU.

Hey bro! Want to know about the puncture you made in GT. Is it done by a normal tyre repair person or some one special kind of puncture. Confused cause of Pirelli tyres. Please do reply ASAP.

GT's day out [evil]

First puncture.

Tubes inside tubless tyres. Mess. Need to remove tyre from bike to get it repaired.

View attachment 153676

It's hell removing the tyre. Tools provided by RE ansolutely useless and needs to remove exhaust to remove tyre if you decide to use them alone. And tyre won't come off. disk will foul with caliper mounting point or the spacer won't come off. Had a hard time removing and refitting. Took 2-3 hours. Anyone attempting this should get proper tools and a second person to help.

Sprocket is fixed on bike, not removable. Root cause of all headache.

Caliper not fixed on bike, another flaw.

If I could get something through which I can talk with you, it would be better than posting here again and again! I want to discuss something about my GT! Please!

November 2015:

First Paid Service:

2015-08-08 14-02-09_1.jpg

Bill:
Oil Filter - ₹ 88.35
Liquid Gun 15W50 x 2.5 L - ₹ 679.52
Paid Service Labor Charge - ₹ 564.30
Consumables - ₹ 205.20

Total Bill: ₹ 1537.37

Forced me into taking a Privilege Card, which costed ₹ 500.00, which ended up as a rip off, will mention later.

After fed up with frequent complaining of parts unavailability, shot a mail to RE. Also showed the paint chip off from tank to Showroom manager and also wrote to RE about that.

Things sped up and tank reached in no time. Manager was courteous in communication, but the workshop guys were not enthusiastic about replacement. I was asked to bring the bike as early as possible saying it a tedious process and takes lot of time. Ran bike almost to empty to minimize fuel loss when removing and reached there before opening time and gave it to their convenience. Promised by 4 PM. Called them up at 4 and the work was still in progress. Decided to go there. Reaching there shocked to see the guy only going to spare counter to fetch the tank and they hurried seeing me and did swap in 30 min. Though angry, did not explode and took the bike. Still no signs or promise of other parts - plastic clip to mount the bar-end mirror and handlebar end weight. Ordered them at least 5 times with promised delivery in 2 weeks everytime.

On way back, noticed 2 blocks on fuel gauge with no fuel or almost empty tank. Thought they might have poured some more to prevent pump from damaging. Got suspicious and filled some more to avoid any trouble. Reached home and removed tank checked the float. It was installed in opposite direction and it was getting stuck at 2-block level. Morons. Fixed it the right way. There was clear marking on the base of the float, this side towards front.

Underside.

One wire left disconnected. God knows where it came from.

2015-11-25 23-00-00.JPG

ECU was Keihin make.

2015-11-25 23-00-12.JPG

Fuel cut off valve. Fuel line can be easily disconnected via click of the clip.

Last treads. Lucky too see in time, else would have fallen off the stand. Effects of vibes.

Life without the mudguard.

RTR bar ends. (Mirror mounted on PVC pipe bit). Shame on Concept Motors for not providing replacement parts after ordering 6-7 times over a year.
