This thread is about the 15th installment of the most awaited Automotive Show in India, The Auto Expo. The next auto expo will happen in 2020 and will include the component exhibition as well. Here I am sharing the early details of what's planned for the next Component Expo in 2020. It is going to be held in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and is slated from 06th to 09th February 2020.

Component exhibition is held every year with Auto Expo. Since the Expo moved to Noida, Component expo remained at pragathi maidan. It was there is 2016. It was there in 2018. It was there before also.

Auto Expo 2018 was the worst since past 4 shows I have been visiting. Maybe the prices of the event organisers of the exhibit were too high that deterrent them to move away from the expo. Major companies like VW, Skoda, Audi, Force, Mitsubishi, JLR and Truck manufacturers like AshLey, AMW, and bike manufacturers like BAJAJ and Royal Enfield were badly missing that made the show too small. Even Mahindra put up a mediocre show by not displaying soon launching products like U321, U201 and longer variant of TUV 300.
ONLY TATA Motors and KIA entered with full vision.

Last show was pathetic and i don't think this one too will be any good. Because of the slowdown expect more manufacturers to skip this event.

Completely agree. I think this time it maybe a bigger bummer than 2018. I hope excitement is high just like "Howz the Josh!!!".

Jaguar Land Rover, Ford Motors, Audi, Royal Enfield, Yamaha, Ashok Leyland, Fiat and Jeep, Honda Cars India and Bajaj Auto.

Auto Expo 2020 Highlights

The much-awaited motor show is coming back with its 15th edition. Following are some highlights:

• The event will happen at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida from 7th – 12th Feb 2020.
• The venue is spread across 2,35,000 sq. meters and indoor built-up area of 51,000 sq. meters.
• The theme for this edition of Auto Expo is “Explore The World of Mobility”.
• There will be six special days exploring a specific aspect of the world of mobility:
  
  Green Day​
  Family Day​
  Goodwill Day​
  Enterprise Day​
  Women Power Day​
  Driving Experience Day.​
• The “Enterprise Day” on 7th Feb will have show timings from 11:00 AM – 07:00 PM.
• The remaining public days (8th – 12th Feb) will have show timings from 11:00 AM – 08:00 PM.
• Food arena will include brands like Starbucks, Haldiram, Keventers, Dunkin Donuts, Domino’s etc.
• Tickets are available at BookMyShow, select Delhi NCR metro stations as well as at the venue.
• Ticket pricing for 7th Feb (business hours) is Rs.750 whereas for general hours it’s Rs.475.

Great Wall Motors, FAW Haima To Make India Debut At 2020 Auto Expo

SAIC-owned MG Motor’s positive response among Indian customers has sparkled new Chinese manufacturers as Great Wall Motors and FAW Group have long been reported to make an entry in the near future in the domestic market. Both have confirmed their participation at the 2020 Auto Expo in February as a pre-cursor to their arrival. FAW coming up with the Haima brand while GWM bringing Haval brand.

MG Likely To Showcase D90 SUV, 6-Seater Hector At 2020 Auto Expo

MG Motor India Limited made a strong impression with the Hector since its market debut earlier this year and the ZS EV is the brand’s second launch for India. Following the all-electric SUV will more likely be the six-seater version of the Hector and the rebadged Maxus D90. Both are expected to be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo in February before reaching showrooms.

The three-row MG Hector will compete against Tata Gravitas, new-gen Mahindra XUV500 and others and it has already been spied testing at the company’s factory in Gujarat. The spy pictures revealed the front and rear portion of the SUV as it adorns newly designed front and rear bumpers, restyled headlamps and tail lamps along with blackened front grille.

Auto Expo 2020 Likely To See Over 60 New Launches Or Unveils

The biggest grandeur in the Indian auto space is the Auto Expo where automakers get a chance to put up a majestic display and create buzz around their models. Automakers also use it as an opportunity to launch or unveil their new products and the number is on the surge every edition. The organising body of the Auto Expo- Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) is expecting over 60 launches or unveils at the Auto Expo 2020 which starts on February 5, 2020 and will continue till February 12, 2020.

Several regular automakers like Nissan, Jeep, Audi, BMW, Bajaj Auto, Hero Moto Corp and Harley Davidson among others have opted out of the Auto Expo this year but quite a few new entrants will be filling the stalls. Other than Kia and MG Motor that also showed up last year, many other brands like The Great Wall and Olectra have also joined. In fact, the Auto Expo 2020 will see a large number of Chinese brands participating. SIAM has also confirmed that all companies with large market shares like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and Tata Motors are participating.

Maruti Futuro-E concept for Auto Expo 2020: IAB Rendering

The Maruti Futuro-E concept will be an A-segment crossover based on the Maruti Wagon R’s frame. The rendering shows it featuring a similar tall-ball stance and styling details, making it loosely related to the donor model in terms of design. It will make use of thoroughly modern styling and will feature touches that imply its concept EV credentials, such as a closed-off nose, eye-catching lighting, large wheels and a funky colour scheme. Moreover, its wide and open windows, high-raised ground clearance and roof rack will contribute to making a practical road runner.

The Maruti Futuro-E concept will be an A-segment crossover based on the Maruti Wagon R’s frame

The production version of the Maruti Futuro-E concept is reported to offer a range of 130 km and support both AC charging and DC charging. Maruti Suzuki would sure have taken note of the issues with the Tata Tigor EV and would ensure that its first EV doesn't fall short of expectations created by the officially rated range.

Skoda reveals its debut models for Auto Expo 2020

Speaking with Telegraph India recently, Zac Hollis, Director – Sales, Service & Marketing, Skoda Auto India, said: “We will be showcasing the Karoq, the Octavia RS, the BS-VI Rapid and the new Superb FL in the 2020 Auto Expo.”
