Following the introduction of Tigor EV for Government and fleet consumers, Tata Motors today announced the launch of its extended range Tigor EV Electric sedan for all consumers. Just for the record, the Tigor does not get the Ziptron electric powertrain that the company announced recently. We've already told you that it's the Nexon that will receive this EV powertrain first. The Tigor Electric will be available in 3 variants - XE+, XM+ and XT+ - and will be available for both fleet and normal consumers. Tata Motors is making the car available across 30 cities and prices start at ₹ 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). This amount is after deducting all the government subsidies.

My review of the Tata Tigor EV.
This is the pre update model with 142km range. This is the first time I've driven an electric car and first impressions are decent enough.

I guess what Tata should have done is launched the electric tigor with
1. Projector Headlamps,
2. Digital cluster
3. Glossy but plain front appliqué with T Logo (probably illuminated)
4. Some great looking alloys
5. Dark Color

that would have made the electric car stand out from Normal ICE Tigor. It would have upped the oomph factor as well. This is what I think. At least with Nexon, they should be doing that.

Tigor ev zip may get the following
1. Altroz type of ice with digital screen and analog speedometer which moves like tachometer
2. working range may be around 320km.so arai certified may be beyond 350km per charge. Would be great if it touches 400km mark.
So that means the engine may be bit in lower state tune than Nexon. But given lower weight it would still be as peppy as Nexon.

Let's see

They should have disclosed the Price and Range, by doing such vague and partial launches Tata lets go the chance of fence sitters, especialy considering the festive season here in Maharashtra and southwards.
BTW the teal color looks simply awesome on the tigor.
