Me and my Nexon ,both are enjoying the sunlight and rise in warmth in the climate.

Meanwhile the battery started to play the spoilsport. Its only 2 years and cranking problem arose this sunday. Its tied up with a synthetic fibre+cloth type material.
On inspection I found out that battery is Amaron with 6 ports for topping up with DW.

It's quite a pain to even inspect the water level, as this band holds down the battery, others provide a metal clamp.
TASS must be having a tool to yank it from the clamp on the sides, i presume.

In SF Sonic and all we have the indicator (Dye based indicator on top , to check battery condition ) .
And do not ask the service guys to top up the battery with distilled water , as it causes reduced battery life (All present day batteries are Maintenance free type , and don't require distilled water top ups , if one tops up with distilled water , the electrolyte configuration is changed , thereby causing the issue ) .

In the digital instrument cluster each Fuel Filler bar = 7.5 litres. This way we can calculate the average fuel efficiency as well as the amount of fuel left over in the tank. When I calculate the average with this method there is an error of 2 km/litre,on the plus side.

Senior member @Nanofreak has posted this photo, via another senior member@Nairrk ,and this had made me very- very surprised!!.
This means TATA has removed the digital meters from modern Nexons.
And this means ASS was telling me as per my version of Nexon only. And Yes as Nanofreak correctly pointed out, there are 11 to 12 bars for the tankful.
So I was correct ,but only partially,as I knew only part of the truth about TATA playing hanky panky in newer versions!!
So senior member Nanofreak was also correct , but again only partially as he wasn't aware of my side of story!!

Compare that to my Nexon !!

Is it version specific, otherwise Why would TATA do that??

Nicely explained as ever, being a doctor it comes naturally to you.
Manufacturers do update their products from time to time, while keeping both the competition and customers feedback in mind.
On the fuel bars, yours vs mine, the bars are shown separate but if you add up it's 11 bars, so next time you can check and see if the indicator on the white bars jump from one white to the other, or otherwise.
In mine the bars are merged/stacked together, and they reduce accordingly.
Phew, enough gyaan batna for the day.

When I went through the owner's manual I came to know about my folly. I made a totally wrong presumption about TATA. They are not playing Hanky-panky as presumed by me.And yes these 2 different instrument clusters are version specific from DAY-1.

This is my cars version(XZ+manual).Look the temp gauge is present on the left side in this version
IMG-20200116-WA0002.jpg

this is Nanofreaks car version which is AMT. Look even the temp gauge is missing in this version
IMG-20200116-WA0001.jpg

here it's clearly mentioned ---if equipped
IMG-20200116-WA0004.jpg

look at the comparison between the 2 versions
IMG-20200116-WA0003.jpg

So it was all present from DAY-1 and yes its version specific and not deleted randomly from Nanofreaks car.
So we both blind persons were interpreting the elephant from our own " touch and feel " perspective. And both were far away from truth.

Can it be enabled via a programming ? (I am asking based on suzuki experience , my car's cluster has cruise control light also , so if I fit a cruise control as modification ,I can enable its sensor lights , via a Programming ) .

The last time I checked with ASS,I found out that TATA has everything under lock. Nothing can be unlocked from ASS side. That's what the technician was saying.
It's not like german cars where take the base "standard "model, and then unlock everything from the laptop and then enjoy all the 'ZXi' features just like that.

without defogger it would have been tougher to drive as well as reverse the car.
It's a' must have' feature in today's cars.

Another Day and another puncture. I have no clue why its happening routinely!

The punctured tyre
IMG-20200128-WA0012.jpg

Bridgestone Turanza is a premium tyre and is costlier than Ceat, MRF etc
IMG-20200128-WA0015.jpg

this is the punctured area

IMG-20200128-WA0014.jpg

Stepney is all clean

IMG-20200128-WA0011.jpg

Tyre is not old at all,2017 make

IMG-20200128-WA0009.jpg

the badly rusted culprit screw
IMG-20200128-WA0020.jpg

this was difficult to pull out by the usual plier
IMG-20200128-WA0022.jpg
IMG-20200128-WA0020.jpg

Ok,so my collection of nails and screws is increasing with each puncture!!
IMG-20200128-WA0023.jpg

Now I have seriously started to doubt the quality of this particular turanza range.Maybe I will choose a different brand next time.

This is the recommendation. 30psi for all the tyres.
I always fill normal air. Usually I top up once a month.
I fill usually 33-34 psi. 10% more than recommendation.
