Now that the rains are over,I can look up the oil leak problem properly. After repeatedly going under the car I have concluded that about 500 ml engine oil has been lost. And the leakage point is that same copper crush washer at the sump bolt.Maybe half of that got burnt up(new diesel engine). Since there is no margin to tighten it further,I will have to loosen it and then put up a new washer from the spare parts bin. In this process oil will be lost further and it can be changed too.
I have decided that I am going to do the ENGINE OIL + OIL FILTER change on my Nexon soon.

This is the oil spec (5W30) fully synthetic, I will be using in my Nexon. Quantity is 5 litres. Surprisingly it is recommended for both petrol as well as diesel cars!!
This matches Tata recommendation,as in the owner's manual.Nobody new at the retailer shop about this 5 litre packing. They all were blissfully unaware thent diesel nexon needs 5 litres!
This oil is little pricier than the Tata brand oil available at the ASS.

Oil meets API SN grade + A5/B5 category as recommended by TATA

Yes, the same oil (TMG Engine oil - 5W30) filled up in my Tigor (during recent service) by TASS guys and they charged me Rs.361.40/Ltr (tax not included). How much you paid for the Castrol 5W30?

5L is pretty healthy amount. It seems TATA Engineers larger oil Sumps than Mahindra generally.
Yes, I heard it's 7 litres for safari.Thats huge!
Scorpio and XUV take 6 litres max. Both(safari and XUV) are 2.2litre. Both are AVL Austria product. Why the difference in oil capacity ?

I have gone ahead and changed the engine oil and oil filter of my Nexon, myself.
For more pics go to this link where I have posted further details of my adventure!!

DIY Changing Engine oil + Oil Filter in my Diesel Nexon.

The culprit of oil leak has been found .Its the warped copper washer, abused and reused by the service centre folks.
New and old washer side by side.

I have driven 100 kms already post the oil change. I have found out that
1) oil leak is ZERO. The sump plug is dry totally.
2) Post oil change the sound of the engine is smoother and little muted.
3) Reving is smooth.Lets see,how it progresses in future.
4) As stupid as it sounds, but still its true, that gearshifts feel smoother.I know gearbox untouched, and no change in gear oil,but still,it's smoother feeling the gearchanges now.
No explanation, I can't explain myself what to talk of you, maybe only psychological!!

But the satisfaction and peace and happiness of doing this small job myself with no help whatsoever from anyone= 10000%

For those curious people who would want to know, how I balance the car neatly on bricks or mats, the answer is HYDRAULIC TROLLEY JACK. I never push my car on stones, which results in damages to bricks and tiles and car underbody. So I use trolley jack here, which lifts the car front like a baby, in 5-6 seconds only with little effort. Then I put the bricks neatly, and then I Lower the jack and withdraw the jack.
This I have done numerous times in XUV too. For a 5 ton capacity jack car is nothing.I don't like working underneath a car lifted on jacks so I use bricks.
I have two of them. You can have a look at them here if interested: My trolley jacks and also here : Also my trolley jacks

I got the time to check up on any further oil leak. There was none.
I was afraid ,but thankfully the workmanship is OK so far.

[lol]Indeed! That big black buffy did leave the eye brow dented and it still is in same condition as I am unable to repair and presently due to diwali rush the ASC guys are too busy to repair it and lastly Arvind left for his hometown for Chaht and Diwali so would get it repaired post the festival. Blue color in Nexon is my dad's favorite as he found it similar to what our Premier Padmini had. Your car is lucky to have a loving owner like you!

Akash
